Rockin’n the Gateway’s third season features five of the best tribute bands in the country! Every band has been together for at least a decade. The season kicks off on June 13th with Summer Night City and their tribute to ABBA. July 11th plays tribute to the music of the Eagles featuring the band Life In The Fast Lane. The sounds of Journey fills the stage at Western Gateway Park on August 1 with Journey Revisited On August 29th it is time to get funky with Hipper than Hip and the music of Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and more. Steelin' Dan hits the Gateway stage on Oct. 3rd! Some venues charge as much as $65.00 to see just one of these great bands, you can see all five amazing bands for only $100.00! Tickets are also available for individual shows. All shows start at 7:30 at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley. Tickets are available at RockintheGateway.com. The Penn Vally Rodeo starts tomorrow, Friday, May 15. This year as part of “Rodeo Weekend”, on Sunday, May 17, American Legend: A Tribute to Johnny Cash will be presented at Western Gateway Park, starting at 7:00. Tickets are available for $25.00 at https://rockinthegateway.com. If you are attending this year’s rodeo you can purchase tickets at the rodeo for a special discounted price. American Legend will take you on a musical journey with songs from original country artists that influenced Cash's writings and sound, including the Carter Family. Experience the Sun Records hits of the 50s and 60s, such as "I Walk the Line" and "Get Rhythm," along with Cash's last ground-breaking songs with American Recordings. Rockin’n the Gateway is excited to announce it’s third season! This season features five of the best tribute bands in the country. The season kicks off on June 13th with Summer Night City and their tribute to ABBA. Step into a world of glitter and glam with Summer Night City, the ultimate ABBA tribute band! July 11th features the music of the Eagles and the band Life In The Fast Lane. Life In The Fast Lane does not simply play tribute to the music of the Eagles, they become the Eagles. The sounds of Journey fills the stage a Western Gateway Park on August 1 with Journey Revisited. These guys cover all the fan favorites, from the ever-popular “Don’t Stop Believin,’” “Wheel in the Sky”, to “Any Way You Want It”, “Lights”, and many more. On August 29th it is time to get funky with the hottest horn line this side of Oakland! Hipper than Hip features the music of Tower of Power, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Aretha, Tina, Stevie, Bruno, and more. The sounds of funk, soul and disco will have you on your feet and dancing the night away with Hipper than Hip! Steelin' Dan hits the Gateway stage on Oct. 3rd! Steelin' Dan presents a memorable experience, one that continues to excite fans throughout California and the western states.
