BEFORE THERE WAS A WALK, THERE WAS A CALL TO FOLLOW. 👣

Jesus never called us to admire His example from a distance.

He said, “Follow me.”

And following Jesus has always required movement...
Toward people. Toward the hurting. Toward the overlooked. Toward places where love, compassion and hope are desperately needed.

That's the heart behind the name Walk With Jesus.

Yes, on October 10 we'll gather to raise funds for the work of Salty Farm Ministries. But we also want every step to represent something bigger. A community choosing to walk toward people instead of past them.

To love our neighbors.
To carry hope.
To serve.
To give.
To say yes when Jesus asks us to move.

And maybe October 10 begins with a walk...but our prayer is that we keep walking with Jesus long after the last person crosses the finish line.

Almost four years ago, we met someone sleeping outside with everything they owned in a few bags.

They didn't ask us for money.

They didn't ask us to fix their life.

They simply wanted someone to know their name.

So we sat down.

We listened.

We prayed.

We kept showing up.

That's how ministry happens.

Not through one grand moment, but through thousands of small acts of obedience that tell someone, "You matter because God says you do."

Today, we've watched friends on the street find recovery, be baptized, reunite with family, discover purpose, and begin walking with Jesus. We've celebrated victories we once only prayed for. And we've also stood beside people through heartbreak, addiction, loss, and grief.

Yesterday we talked about the logo...today, let's talk about what this walk is all about!

First off...this is MORE THAN A WALK! This is about COMMUNITY coming together to help those in our community often unseen, overlooked, or cast away. We were NEVER meant to do life alone, we were created for community!! Let's come together to serve Jesus!!
