It is time we gather fireside, look one another in the eyes, and speak our intentions of a better world for all. We are so brilliant and capable, blessed by natural abundance, yet intent on selling scarcity and telling stories written by fear and loneliness. What a gift it is to be able to communicate with one another, using our words to share experiences that have shaped our lives. What a blessing it is to listen to someone’s story — vulnerable enough to share pages from their life’s curriculum — unknowing how it will be received on the other side. Open to share, open to receive — a two street like falling leaves, offering their lives to nourish seeds. We give, we take, doing what we can to leave this place better in our wake — leaving behind a little more love than hate. Born to create, born to live, born to die; let us enjoy our time together practicing magic under a wondrous, dark-starred-sky. Let us be reminded that loss makes space for growth, offering a more visceral understanding of just how precious life is. May we honor those who have passed by better serving those who are present. May we take heed of one another’s unique gifts — knowing that we have the opportunity to lift each other up — and raise our voices with songs to fill the air. Our time here is meaningful, and who we share it with is precious. We are more family than foe; more capable than we sometimes show — each with the joyous opportunity to help each other grow and better know — that we are not alone. Another Harvest Gathering is upon us and with it comes a time to gather fireside, look one another in the eyes, and practice gratitude for each sunrise on this precious land we call home.
