Those looking for a unique chance to ice skate outdoors this winter can do so with the return of “Energy on Ice” at the Owensboro Convention Center. The event features an 80×60-foot synthetic ice rink located on the Kentucky Legend Pier overlooking the Ohio River.

🚧TRAFFIC ALERT 🚧

Starting at noon TODAY (11/23), several downtown streets will close for the Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade. 2nd Street will be closed from Greyhound Drive (near the former Daviess County Middle School) to Walnut Street . Within that closure, side streets connecting 2nd and 3rd Street will also close. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. Both downtown parking garages (located on Daviess Street and Locust Street) will remain open for those attending the parade. Please Note: Daviess Street will close near the start time of the parade. If you’re heading to the Daviess Street parking garage, you can still access it via Veterans Boulevard. Simply use West 1st Street and drive through the Owensboro Convention Center lot.
