🏡 Looking for some extra cozy bloom accommodations? We have a few available. Introducing our first option: The Tree House. Send us an e-mail at [email protected] if you’re seriously interested!
THE TREEHOUSE:
Surrounded by nature, this 2 room cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. Cantilevered over the valley in a beautiful forest, the large windows and screened in porch put you in the crown of the trees. The house was owned by iconic Canadian “”Father Goose”” Bill Lishman, the inspiration for “”Fly Away Home””.
The space
The tree house cabin is isolated on a ridge with no visible neighbours. Most of the year vehicles can drive right to the treehouse followed by a short 50 meter walk up a hill. The treehouse consists of a main living/sleeping room (with a small compost washroom) and a large screened in porch overlooking the valley. Power is supplied by solar panel and wind turbine, enough for lighting and to charge devices. Located on the Oak Ridges Moraine, the location is perfect to escape from the city. For those who wish to hike or mountain bike there are many trails through the surrounding forests. A small woodstove (firewood supplied) provides warmth and a place to heat the kettle.
It is about a 5-10min walk away from the main festival area - perfect for a good nights sleep.
A park-style barbeque is supplied (wood available) and a picnic table/bench for outdoor meals.
Guest access
On request and depending on availability, guests may be offered a tour of the unique Lishman earth integrated underground home, featured on many television programs, YouTube videos and Canadian Geographic and Hello Magazine.
Other things to note
The climb to the treehouse is short, but quite steep. Appropriate footwear is recommended...this climb is definitely not for everyone.
