Congratulations to the Nebraska Huskers and the 63 other baseball teams that qualified for the NCAA tournament . Many of you know that I’m a team host for the College World Series. Seven civic clubs (I’m an Optimist) and Offutt AFB are assigned to teams to ensure that the student athletes have a good time while in Omaha. This year I’ll be sharing some of our activities for a behind the scenes look at the CWS.

Going on this weekend, the Brownville Historical Society Annual Memorial Day Weekend Spring Flea Market! Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Brownville! Most vendors are open 8-5 on Saturday and Sunday. The flea market ends at 3 pm on Monday.

This Memorial Day weekend, an unforgettable traveling memorial is coming to Pottawattamie County—offering our community a powerful space to reflect, remember, and honor. The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display at Lewis Central High School from May 22–25. The exhibit will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public
