8 days out! Who's excited??

We're so stoked to bring this festival and all these amazing artists to you. We wanted to give you a little bit of info as we cruise into the homestretch:

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: is a fiddler, banjoist, singer, bones player, and rabble-rouser. Her music draws on old-time, folk punk, and the traditional songs of Kerala. We are thrilled to have her perform on the TransTrad stage!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: We are thrilled to welcome Sophie Mae Wellington to the TransTrad stage this year! Sophie is an amazing fiddler, flatfoot dancer, guitarist, and a truly remarkable performer. We are so excited for them to share their many skills at our festival this summer!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: Sweeten the Third is a collaboration between percussive dancer Afton Coombs and banjo magician Cameron DeWhitt. Their music is lovely, intricate, and powerful - we cannot wait for it to be heard on the TransTrad stage!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT! Contra dance supergroup Nobody’s Business will be tearing up the stage at our festival! The groove and drive of this band must be heard to be believed... we are ready to believe. Make sure you bring your dancing shoes!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: Are you ready to YELL ABOUT BOATS? The Ranzo Boys are an absolutely killer vocal trio from the East Coast. Formed in NYC in 2020, these awesome singers specialize in buzzy English harmonies, Appalachian ballads, sea chanteys, droney instrumental backing, and any song that can be remotely construed as q***r. We're so happy to have them perform and lead some social singing at TransTrad!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: We are thrilled to welcome mandolin extraordinaire Maddie Witler to TransTrad Fest this year! Maddie is a former member of bluegrass bands Della Mae and Lonely Heartstring Band, and she is a spectacular player on not only mandolin but guitar, banjo, and more. We are so excited to host her performances and workshops this June!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: We are so excited to bring Tradwife Stringband to our festival this year! These lovely ladies (and Moose) will be bringing some excellent old-time music and values to TransTrad, and will be lending their skills to our Friday night square dance as well.
