Run Plumas Lake RACE DAY - APRIL 13,2019 Both organizations have come together in support of keeping our community active and engaged! Hope to see you there!

The South Yuba County Sunrise Rotary Club and the Plumas Lake Education Foundation (PLEF) is proud to offer the 3rd Annual Run Plumas Lake event! The run will offer participants of all levels a chance to get involved! Run lengths include a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Kid’s Fun Run, so there is something for everyone! The run will take place on the morning of April 9, 2016.

The Hippity Hop 5k - Run Plumas Lake is on Saturday April 13, 2019. It includes the following events: Hippity Hop 5K, Kids Fun Run - If 1-2 Kids Per Household Signing Up, and Kids Fun Run - If 3+ Kids Per Household Signing Up.

Packet pick up and limited on site registration will be available tomorrow morning by the starting line at 7am!

Hello All Fun Run Participants Parents!
Tomorrow you will need to pick up a green wrist band at the Packet Pick Up Booth. Please wait if possible until after 8:30 am so we can get our 5K runners off the starting line. That wrist band will tell everyone you are signed up and get a medal as you cross the finish line.
We encourage everyone to dress functional, but cute as this is the hippity hop run! Maybe even the Easter bunny might come!

For those of you that are asking! Here is the race route. If you live on the route or in the area of the route please plan to not leave your home from 8:30-9:30 and if you need to leave, please park outside of the run area and walk to your car. The safety of our racers is important, so please help us protect them as they compete. Thanks in advance!

We are just over 50 participants for the 5k! If we do not have 100 5k participants signed up by this Wednesday, my team will not be doing the run again next year. If you want to see this event happen in 2020, please spread the word to your neighbors and your friends and let’s get some more sign up for the run. It cost $1250 just for the timing system for the run. Currently that cost is $25 a racer and that does not include the medals or the shirts. At this point the run will be negative funds. We would love to continue this event and see if grow and develop year over year, but without the community support it will not happen. The community wanted to see Run Plumas Lake happen this year so please come out and support the event by signing up for the 5k.
