Trent Busch Memorial Clay Shoot

Event information for an annual clay shoot in memory of Trent Busch hosted by friends and family.

Proceeds from this event will support scholarships for Pike Lincoln Technical Center welding students and camp scholarships for Nubabilty Outdoors.

We’re proud to announce that, thanks to proceeds from the Trent Busch Memorial Claybird Shoot, we were able to award a second $5,000 Trent Busch Legacy Scholarship to Alex Marischen. Alex is a Troy Buchanan High School senior and Pike-Lincoln Technical Center welding student.

Alex will be continuing his education at the American Welding Academy this year, and we wish him all the best as he pursues a career in the welding trade.

This scholarship was created to honor Trent’s memory, his love for welding and the career path he envisioned for himself. We are proud to help support Alex’s journey in Trent’s name.

We were honored to present $5,000 to NubAbility Outdoors from the proceeds of the Trent Busch Memorial Claybird Shoot.

The funds will help provide scholarships for kids to attend NubAbility Outdoors camps, giving them the opportunity to experience hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in ways that build confidence and lifelong memories.

We are grateful for this community and proud to support such an incredible organization in honor of Trent. 💙

The SECOND Annual Trent Busch Memorial Claybird Shoot was a success! The turnout to celebrate Trent’s legacy was amazing.

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors for your generous support, this amazing day wouldn’t have been possible without you, the participating teams, and everyone who came out to enjoy the beautiful weather. We also want to extend our gratitude to the many volunteers who helped ensure the day went smoothly.

Congratulations once AGAIN to our FIRST-place team: Bobby Blount, Rob Fields, Dalton Tayon, and Lane Weber! And a big thank-you to all 43 teams who joined us to participate and support our mission.

👉🏼This Sunday! Grab your team (or just yourself) and join us to honor Trent while supporting NubAbility and PLTC welding students.

Menu: smash burgers and hotdogs, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, chips and cookies

Some of our raffles include: Stoeger M3500 12 gauge, Henry Goldenboy 22 Mag, Rugar Mark IV, Whole Hog, Turtlebox Speaker, Live Oak Boot Bench, Bourbon Basket, Milwaukee Packout Basket and so much more.

We also have silent auction items and two live auctions which includes a 3-man duck hunt with breakfast.

The Trent Busch Memorial Clay Shoot provides support for NubAbility Outdoors/NubAbility Athletics scholarships for limb-different youth to attend camps.

After Trent's accident where he lost his hand, Sam with NubAbility reached out, and within a few months, Trent and his dad were on a hunt. Paired with a mentor who shared similar limb loss, Trent returned from these experiences filled with determination and resilience.

Thank you for participating in this memorial claybird shoot in honor of Trent and helping to support the organizations that positively impacted his life.

Couple of notes since we are two weeks out.

All teams and individuals are welcome on the 5th even if you have not registered. Registering just helps with a count for food. If you do not have a team and would like to shoot, that can be accommodated within the scramble.

If you don’t plan to shoot but would like to partake in the many raffles, food and festivities to show your support, everyone is welcome. Bring your chairs!

Don’t forget you can get in on the hog raffle if you aren’t able to attend. Let us know! 🐷

For those of you that would like to join in on a chance to win a whole hog with processing, this is your chance!

You do not need to be present to win this raffle and the winner will be drawn on the 5th of October at the Trent Busch Memorial shoot.

You are welcome to note in the comments if you want tickets and Venmo (four digits 4345) and we will send you a pic of the filled out tickets and add them to the raffle. If you’d prefer to pick them up and put them in the raffle yourself, that works too!
