Think you can give a turnip some personality? 👻 In celebration of Samhainn, USCO is hosting a Turnip Carving Contest! Inspired by Scottish and Irish Halloween traditions, we want to see your most creative, spooky, or downright hilarious creations.

Here’s how to join the fun:

🎃 Get carving! Pick up a turnip at your local grocery store, or visit us at USCO's Highland Hoolie at Angry Scotsman Brewing on Saturday, Oct. 17. For a $5 donation, we’ll provide a turnip, instructions, and access to carving tools.

📸 Enter your masterpiece! Send us a photo via Facebook Messenger or email at [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. CDT on Saturday, Oct. 24.

👍 Vote for your favorites! Entries will appear in an official contest album on USCO’s page on Monday, Oct. 26. Every reaction on an entry’s original photo counts as one vote! Share the album and invite your friends to participate.

The entry with the most reactions by 6 p.m. CDT on Friday, Oct. 30, will win a $50 gift card to McNellie's OKC ! The winner will be announced on Halloween, Oct. 31.

One entry per person. Submissions must come from an adult age 18 or older; parents or legal guardians may submit entries featuring turnips carved by their children. No purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win. See the first comment for official contest rules.

Will yours be spooky, silly, or something else entirely?

We can’t wait to see what you carve!
