We want to take a moment to acknowledge an issue during the 5K race – specifically, the unmarked turnaround. Simply put, we didn’t get it right, and we’re truly disappointed that this impacted the race experience for some of our runners.
Since race day, we’ve been in direct conversations with both the men’s and women’s 5K winners to find the fairest way to address the situation. We appreciate their understanding and willingness to work with us as we take full responsibility for the mistake.
Our goal has always been to create a great race experience, and we’re already making adjustments to ensure this never happens again. We hear you, and we’ll get it right next year.
