The Journey of The Bacchae SUNY Oswego commissioned young writer Matthew Gasda to write a new adaptation of "The Bacchae" by Euripides. This page follows the growing life of the show

During the Summer of 2015, SUNY Oswego with new professor, Christopher Carter Sanderson at the helm agreed to commission young playwright Matthew Gasda to re-imagine this classic play. Gasda's new translation/adaptation for contemporary stage was brought to life in October 2015 by director Christopher Carter Sanderson and many dedicated theatre students. The show has since performed at the Region

II of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in January 2016, with Gorilla Rep. in New York City and heading back Upstate in September. This page is to help everyone get involved and stay updated.
