Hassadna's Youth Wind Orchestra:
The Jerusalem Conservatory's Wind Orchestra, under the artistic directorship of Ms. Since its establishment, it has grown very rapidly, becoming one of Israel's leading youth wind orchestras. Currently, 45 young musicians from the ages of 13-18 play in the orchestra, which is frequently invited to perform at major functions of the Jerusalem Municipality, Ministry o

f Education events, and many festive concerts throughout the school year. For these young musicians, the orchestra is a central part of their lives; a place for developing musical expertise, building friendships and making beautiful music together. Project Description and Need
The Conservatory's Youth Wind Orchestra was one of six orchestras selected among many from around the world to perform at the New York Wind Band Festival at the prestigious Carnegie Hall from March 1-5, 2014. It has been our dream to bring our Youth Wind Orchestra to participate in an international music festival in the United States. The children would benefit tremendously, personally and professionally, from the experience of participating in such an esteemed event. This opportunity would give them exposure to the international professional music world, familiarization with local youth orchestras and those from other countries, motivation for musical growth and development, and the unique opportunity to represent Israel among their musical peers. For these young musicians, who represent the entire socio-economic spectrum of Jerusalem, participating in this festival would be a life changing opportunity and an experience that they would cherish for the rest of their lives. In order to send the group of 45 musicians and accompanying staff we need to raise $95,000 to cover room, board, and participation in the festival. חברים יקרים.. אחרי עבודה קשה ומשותפת אנחנו שמחים וגאים לבשר כי בעוד 4 שבועות בדיוק מגיעה תזמורת כלי הנשיפה הבוגרת של קונסרבטוריון הסדנה להופעה באולם הקרנגי הול!!!!
