The Washington County Fair is nearly over however we were fortunate to have a great week. LKF Nutella was supreme champion female for the youth show and the open show. She was also reserve champion in the jackpot show. LKF Noon was feeder champion in the open and youth shows and reserve steer champion in the jackpot show. And our shorthorn steer, LKF Milo, was reserve champion feeder in both open and youth shows. Great job with the entire show string Kylie Murphy, Robbie Murphy, and Gavin Murphy. Also a big shout out to Jala Murphy Younker and Brianna Jones for their awesome help....just like the good 'ole days! And welcome to the fair Amelia!

We had a very good day yesterday (well except for our poor packing choices and the fact that it was snowing in the afternoon). Gavin won his showmanship class and Kylie was fifth in her class. And we were able to capture the illusive smile in the show ring by Gavin. That is a very rare feat!

We are so proud of the Murphy kids and our adopted show kid for the weekend, Dilyn McKernon! Gavin won the 2023 NYSF Grand Champion Cow/Calf with LKF Juniper J14 and LKF Lavender L35 with Dilyn on the halter. Kylie exhibited her January Junior Heifer Calf LKF Locket L36 and Robbie exhibited his Senior Yearling LKF Jackie Rose. They did an incredible job showing!
