😭😭😭The video footage of the fa"lling man & the captured the man dea"th on top of the building on 9/11........

American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 were hijacked on September 11, 2001, and deliberately flown into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The impacts caused catastrophic destruction, severe structural damage, and intense fires that spread throughout both buildings.

Emergency responders, office workers, and civilians inside the towers desperately attempted to evacuate as smoke filled stairwells and visibility deteriorated. Firefighters and other first responders climbed the towers to assist those trapped inside, while countless civilians searched for routes to safety. Despite these efforts, the extreme damage caused by the impacts and fires ultimately led to the collapse of both Twin Towers later that morning.

The September 11 attacks resulted in nearly 3,000 deaths, enormous destruction in Lower Manhattan, and profound grief for families and communities around the world. The attacks also brought major changes to aviation security, airport screening, emergency preparedness, counterterrorism policies, and national security in the United States and internationally.

September 11, 2001, remains one of the most significant and studied events of the modern era. The lives lost, the courage of those who responded, and the experiences of those who survived continue to be remembered. 🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🕊️🗽Honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11. 🙏🇺🇸 The Historical Memories🖤

😭😭She was trapped aboard a hijacked airplane, yet for approximately 23 minutes, she remained on the phone and calmly told the world what was happening.

Betty Ong, a 45-year-old American Airlines flight attendant aboard Flight 11, contacted American Airlines operations during the hijacking on September 11, 2001. Despite the unimaginable fear and danger around her, Betty provided crucial information about the situation aboard the aircraft and helped authorities understand that something was terribly wrong.

Her call became one of the earliest accounts of the hijacking that morning. She continued communicating until American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m.

Betty could not save herself, but she used her final moments to communicate, to help, and to make sure others understood what was happening. 🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🕊️🗽Honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11. 🙏🇺🇸 The Historical Memories🖤

😭😭😭These beautiful photographs capture the World Trade Center during its first full decade as a defining presence on the New York City skyline......

Completed in the early 1970s, the Twin Towers quickly became symbols of modern ambition, innovation, and architectural boldness. Rising high above Lower Manhattan, the towers transformed the city’s skyline and became an unmistakable part of everyday life in New York.

From different perspectives, these photographs show the towers towering above the streets, reflected in the Hudson River, and standing proudly beneath clear blue skies. Together, they capture not only the extraordinary scale of the buildings but also their ordinary presence in the lives of millions of people who saw them each day.

There was a time when the World Trade Center simply represented the future—a place of work, connection, commerce, and possibility. Families visited, workers arrived each morning, and New Yorkers passed beneath the towers without knowing how deeply those buildings would eventually become woven into the history and memory of the city.

Today, these photographs serve as a precious visual record of the World Trade Center before September 11, 2001. They allow us to remember the Twin Towers not only for how they were lost, but for how they once stood: proud, magnificent, and alive with the everyday life of New York City. 🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🕊️🗽Honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11. 🙏🇺🇸 The Historical Memories🖤

😭😭😭Sara Elizabeth Low grew up in Batesville, Arkansas, and graduated from high school there in 1991. She later attended the University of Arkansas, earning a degree in finance and real estate. She could have pursued a traditional career behind a desk, but Sara chose a life in the sky. In the spring of 1999, she joined American Airlines as a flight attendant, initially based in New York. By the fall of 2000, she had transferred to Boston and settled into her own apartment in Beacon Hill....

Sara was 28 years old on September 11, 2001, when she was working aboard American Airlines Flight 11, traveling from Boston to Los Angeles. After the flight was hijacked, fellow flight attendant Amy Sweeney needed a way to communicate with people on the ground. When the crew's usual method was not working, Sara remembered her family's calling card number—a number she had known since college—and recited it from memory. Sweeney used that information to reach American Airlines Flight Services in Boston, remaining on the line for nearly 25 minutes while calmly providing critical details about the hijacking. Flight attendant Betty Ong also made a separate call through the aircraft's airphone to American Airlines reservations.

Those calls became an important part of the record of that morning. Sara Low's quick thinking helped make communication possible during an unimaginable crisis. Shortly afterward, Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Sara was among the 92 people aboard the flight who lost their lives that morning.

Today, Sara Elizabeth Low is remembered not only for the tragedy of September 11, but for the life she had built, the dreams she pursued, and the courage she showed in a moment of extraordinary danger. Her memory remains with her family, friends, colleagues, and all who remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🕊️🗽Honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11. 🙏🇺🇸 The Historical Memories🖤
