Hi everyone. Here are some important announcement regarding the location rides and times for next week “The Groundings 2025” events.
We have a super special location called “Kick Axe Dc”. It’s a huge 2 story entertainment complex.
The first floor is a bar with Axe throwing rooms and charging outlets in every axe throwing areas.
The second floor is a huge warehouse style room with limited charging spots with a live Dj starting the party at noon, Brunch and drinks will also be available with a full staff to cater to us, arrive early to grab cabanas and lots of board games, giant jenga, giant connect 4 and giant bowling, outside we will have a valet parking for our PEV’s along with charging, onewheels, Eskates and EUC’s are allowed inside. Eskimo tees and E-bikes will have to be valet with you own personal ticket so that no one takes your rides withought a matching ticket number.
This year will be way different and ery special compared to other years.
Because of the extra police and national guard presence downtown Dc
We will be able to avoid all the chaos and see places we’ve never been able to show everyone in Dc.

For the first time in history we will have a rolling industrial Diesel Generator we are renting from Sunbelt Rentals. capable of charging 400-600 PEV’s at the same time. We ask that if you plan to attend to pack an extension chord at least 10 feet long because 300 + PEV’s cannot charge in the proximity of the spider cables provided.
The generator has 15 spider cables and each spider cable has 20 outlets each outlets can provide 20 amps each. Just like a house 🏠 outlet.
The Generator will be towed in a SUV and follow the group through the city which will allow us to charge anywhere we plan to stop for those that may not have the long range for the first time will be able to ride all day and night we will be making frequent stops every 12-15 miles. And for those with range we plan to keep riding and looping back to pickup those that are charging
Allowing us to travel from Dc, Virginia & Maryland. And endless riding
With a stop at one of the viral food truck sensations for an early dinner at “Flavor Hive” and a ride to see the sunset overlooking the whole city at a special location very few have seen.
“The groundings” has always been a free event and will contribute to do so. However In order to achieve this we also need your help $ along with what the sponsors have contributed.
those that plan to attend we ask if you can contribute $ whatever you can but not obligatory to attend if you can’t. So this voluntary contribution $ is for the extra expenses for the generator rental and all the spider connections and diesel fuel ⛽️ necessary to make this monumental achievement.

During all charging stops there will be other ride leaders continuing rides for those that have long range and didn’t want to stop to charge making a one hour loop and back to charging area.
We ask that everyone wear at least a helmet. Although you may be a great rider understand that this is a large group 300 plus riders in the past and accidents happen so always wear your helmet and protection gear. We pride that we’ve never had serious injuries during past Groundings events.
*** because of the current state of extra police and National guards
We discourage you to bring a Surron/talaria or any motocross style E Bike or if you choose to do wheelies and burnouts. Please refrain from doing anything that will attract the presence of police. Gas powered bikes and vehicles are 100 prohibited in our rides. We are also avoiding the National Mail area and club/bar districts this year because of the extra police presence. But this is a big city and lots of other safer fun places to ride. This is a family, safety oriented ride, We will not ride above speed limits so if you’re a speed demon this may be the event for you or your crew.
We are not a club or gang we are just a bunch of personal electric vehicle enthusiast trying to have a fun safe event.
There are many people from states all over the east coast from Florida to Canada and beyond.
****be courteous to everyone don’t ride on the sidewalks, don’t speed, no wheelies, no burnouts. It’s not the place and time, We have a long weekend of riding don’t ruin it for yourself and everyone so we can continue doing this again.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. We will be riding all day making frequent stops to charge, use the restrooms and eat/drink.
Please use the buddy system if you step away from your ride and have someone watch it unless your park at the valet spot at “kick Axe Dc” keep your valet ticket in a safe place or take a picture of your numbered ticket so that you can get your ride when you return to it.
