Officially completed my 6 rounds of chemotherapy. We want to thank family and friends for all their support. Quick check-ins, text messages, phone calls, Facebook comments, Wings of Hope followers, cards (some that ended up being trivia, riddles and math problems, had me lol), flowers, gifts, out town visitors and hugs just when I needed it most. These are the things that helped to keep me fighting. I cannot not mention my main supporter, my husband Kevin, with me every step of the way. Sometimes I think he had it harder dealing with ALL of this than I did. For that I am eternally grateful for those that supported him through this. We feel so blessed to you have you all on our side during one the hardest times in our life, again. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts🩵 The two ladies pictured with me, Jane and Peggy were my chemo nurses the first time I went through this and again they were there for my second time, I love these two fabulous people. Woohoo, I made it! For the second time, I completed 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and now just continueing immunotherapy, indefinitely. Best part, this time I got to ring the bell🛎 They say a picture is worth a thousand words, just take a look at my smile, that says it all.😁

What a wonderful surprise, our friends Bill and Jen had an ornament made with my final treatment date. BTW none of the chemo nurses had ever seen anything like it. As well as beautiful white roses, to symbolize new beginnings. Thank you🩵

Officially at the halfway mark,
3 down 3 to go. Once again a most eventful treatment day, and not necessarily in a good way...ugh😏
We had a very slow start. They couldn't get blood draw through my port, it would only let them put fluids in, but couldn't get blood out (lab work). Finally, they had the 3rd nurse come to try and work on it, which actually ended up working. Then, they couldn't get an available doctor to review and approve my labs for treatment. Then we were told they are absolutely not letting any visitors stay with patients. We were then told it was for at least today due to issues with a few patients and visitors that happened yesterday. Luckily, I went to high school with the nurse manager and we took the health academy course together. So needless to say, Kevin was able to stay. The rest of the day was fine. Thank you everyone for all your support, we really appreciate it beyond measure🩵
