Good morning and happy weekend! 😍 Pictured here are Matt and Jacob standing in front of the potato digger, admiring the sunrise in front of them.

Looking at the weather forecast for today, there is a chance of rain later this evening and into the night. Despite all the rain we had a few weeks ago, our plants could use a drink, so keep your fingers crossed! 🤞

📣 CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS! 📸

We will be offering professional photography passes again this year! 🥳

Are you interested in offering sunflower minis to your clients? Do you have clients who would love their family photos or maternity photos taken in a field of sunflowers?

Nothing says happy like a field of sunflowers! 😍🌻

Our professional photography pass is only $60 this year. BUT, this year, we are extending the pass so that it is valid from June to October! 🤯This means you can also book sessions in our cut flower field, wildflower patch, and/or in our (hopeful) pumpkin patch. In addition to our flower fields, our farm is home to many stunning, history-rich structures such as several barns, an old wash house, a covered bridge, and more!

Get creative with the types of mini sessions you can offer—there are so many possibilities!

Photographers can book an unlimited number of photography sessions with their pass. However, advance notice of photography sessions is required (just so we know who is using the farm and on what days/times).

As part of being on our approved professional photographer list, we will also publish your photography contact and booking information on our pages. For professional photography inquiries, we will only recommend photographers on our approved list.

Please note that ALL professional photographers MUST purchase a pass. No professional photography will be permitted without a pass.

If you are interested in purchasing a photography pass for the season, please send us a message here or send us an email at [email protected]

📸 Sunflower Festival Photography Passes 📸

We will be offering professional photography passes again this year! 🥳

In the past, we’ve done things a little differently with only allowing professional photographers to shoot around the weekend of the sunflower festival. However, this year, we are actually going to offer a full-season pass where photographers can basically use the farm for photography sessions anytime they’d like (some restrictions may apply).

This will include the sunflower field (obviously), and the new cut flower field that we’ve added. Additionally, we are hoping to plant a small field of strictly wildflowers adjacent to the cut flower field (but this is still to be determined).

In addition to our flower fields, our farm is home to many stunning, history-rich structures such as multiple barns, an old wash house, a covered bridge, and more!

Now, as if that isn’t exciting enough…we are also lowering the price for the photography pass this year. The full season professional photography pass will only be $60! 🤯

Photographers can book an unlimited number of photography sessions with their pass. However, advance notice of photography sessions is required (just so we know who is using the farm and on what days/times).

As part of being on our approved professional photographer list, we will publish your photography contact and booking information on our pages. For professional photography inquiries, we will only recommend photographers on our approved list.

Please note that ALL professional photographers MUST purchase a pass. No professional photography will be permitted without a pass.

✨Introducing…Little Sprouts Sunflower Float Parade! 🌱🌻

Dress your “little sprouts” (aka young children) in the best and most creative sunflower-themed costumes or outfits. We encourage participants to decorate their strollers, wagons, or carts as part of their “float.”

Kids of all ages may participate, but the “float” concept is geared more toward young children in strollers or wagons.

The float parade will be held at 11:30am on Sunday, August 9th.

All participants should line up at the left-hand corner of the sunflower field (near the parking area) by 11:25am. Participants will walk along the sunflower field, behind the barn area, and end just before the food vendors.

One winner will be selected for Best Sunflower Theme/Most Creative. That winner will receive a $25 gift card. The float parade is free to participate in, and there is no need to register or sign up in advance. Just show up! 😁

✨Vendors Wanted✨

Calling all artisan vendors! We want YOU at our sunflower festival this year! 🌻 Our vendors are such a HUGE part of what makes our festival a success, and we are so grateful for them!

A few things to keep in mind—we have limited vendor spaces available, and spaces will fill up, so don’t wait to submit your application if you are interested in vending with us this year. Also, if you’ve already inquired about vending, please note that your spot is not considered booked/confirmed until we receive your vendor agreement and payment.

Additionally, we try to keep our vendors as diverse as possible with little overlap, meaning, we try not to have more than two vendors (at most) that sell the same or similar products. We want to ensure a wide variety of goods offered to festival attendees and we want to ensure that all vendors do well in sales.

If you’d like to apply for a vending spot, send us a message on here or an email at [email protected] and tell us a little about your business! 🕺

🌸 U-Pick Flower Field: Main Information 🌸

Our cut flower field will operate on a self-serve basis, open from 8am to 7pm daily. As of now, we plan to open our field at the end of June or beginning of July. However, keep in mind, this is very weather-dependent and is subject to change. We will make an official announcement on here when we plan to open the field for the season.

We have two pricing options: $10 to fill a cup or $35 to fill a pitcher. The cups/pitchers are provided for you (they are a specific size), and they are yours to keep. The pricepoint is per cup/pitcher, so however many stems fit into your cup/pitcher is yours to keep! We do not count the number of stems.

There will be water available in an orange water cooler for you to fill your bouquet cup or pitcher before you leave (if you choose to do so). The bouquet cups fit perfectly in vehicle cup holders which makes for a smooth transport home. 🙌🏻 (If you choose to purchase a pitcher, please keep in mind they are trickier to transport. We suggest bringing an empty box to put it in so it does not spill on the ride home).

Our payment options include either exact cash (dropped in a secure money box) or Venmo. We will NOT have change available if you choose to pay with cash. Also, please note that cameras will be in place to deter theft.

Scissors/clippers will be available for you to borrow while cutting your flowers. Please return them when you are finished.

You may cut anything within the flower field. The flower field will be marked off. Please do not cut anything outside of this area, and please do not wander outside of this area, as we are a working farm and have other crops planted in the surrounding areas. Also, young children must be supervised at all times.

We do NOT use any sort of sprays or chemicals on our flowers.

Our “flower shack” is where you can check in (get your cup/pitcher, scissors, etc.) and check out (fill your cup/pitcher with water, pay for your bouquets, etc.). Inside the flower shack, there is a binder to help you get started when you check in. It has information on how to cut the flowers, how to arrange a bouquet, and bouquet inspo (so even the most novice can be successful bouquet-builders!)

✔️ Reminders for your visit:

•Be mindful of pollinators, especially if you are allergic to stinging insects. While the bees do not normally bother people, there is always a chance. We have a lot of honeybee visitors along with butterflies, birds, and more. Our pollinators are our friends, and they have a very important job to do!

•Be respectful of the flowers and plants. Only cut what you plan to keep.

•Stay on the walking paths between rows, and please do not step on the flowers/plants. There will be rows of plants that have been planted in succession, meaning they will be much smaller and might just be starting out compared to other, full-grown rows of plants. These are not just empty rows and/or rows of weeds. 🙃

•Wear comfy, sturdy shoes as you will be walking through a field with uneven surfaces.

•Bring a hat, sunscreen, and a bottle of water!

•The cut flower field will be closed during inclement weather. Please plan your visit accordingly.

⭐️ Details on our grab ‘n go roadside bouquets coming soon!
