🌸 U-Pick Flower Field: Main Information 🌸
Our cut flower field will operate on a self-serve basis, open from 8am to 7pm daily. As of now, we plan to open our field at the end of June or beginning of July. However, keep in mind, this is very weather-dependent and is subject to change. We will make an official announcement on here when we plan to open the field for the season.
We have two pricing options: $10 to fill a cup or $35 to fill a pitcher. The cups/pitchers are provided for you (they are a specific size), and they are yours to keep. The pricepoint is per cup/pitcher, so however many stems fit into your cup/pitcher is yours to keep! We do not count the number of stems.
There will be water available in an orange water cooler for you to fill your bouquet cup or pitcher before you leave (if you choose to do so). The bouquet cups fit perfectly in vehicle cup holders which makes for a smooth transport home. 🙌🏻 (If you choose to purchase a pitcher, please keep in mind they are trickier to transport. We suggest bringing an empty box to put it in so it does not spill on the ride home).
Our payment options include either exact cash (dropped in a secure money box) or Venmo. We will NOT have change available if you choose to pay with cash. Also, please note that cameras will be in place to deter theft.
Scissors/clippers will be available for you to borrow while cutting your flowers. Please return them when you are finished.
You may cut anything within the flower field. The flower field will be marked off. Please do not cut anything outside of this area, and please do not wander outside of this area, as we are a working farm and have other crops planted in the surrounding areas. Also, young children must be supervised at all times.
We do NOT use any sort of sprays or chemicals on our flowers.
Our “flower shack” is where you can check in (get your cup/pitcher, scissors, etc.) and check out (fill your cup/pitcher with water, pay for your bouquets, etc.). Inside the flower shack, there is a binder to help you get started when you check in. It has information on how to cut the flowers, how to arrange a bouquet, and bouquet inspo (so even the most novice can be successful bouquet-builders!)
✔️ Reminders for your visit:
•Be mindful of pollinators, especially if you are allergic to stinging insects. While the bees do not normally bother people, there is always a chance. We have a lot of honeybee visitors along with butterflies, birds, and more. Our pollinators are our friends, and they have a very important job to do!
•Be respectful of the flowers and plants. Only cut what you plan to keep.
•Stay on the walking paths between rows, and please do not step on the flowers/plants. There will be rows of plants that have been planted in succession, meaning they will be much smaller and might just be starting out compared to other, full-grown rows of plants. These are not just empty rows and/or rows of weeds. 🙃
•Wear comfy, sturdy shoes as you will be walking through a field with uneven surfaces.
•Bring a hat, sunscreen, and a bottle of water!
•The cut flower field will be closed during inclement weather. Please plan your visit accordingly.
