Hey everyone we’re so excited to announce the 2026 PlayWrite Showcase! KMDP and folks are teaming up again to perform original plays written by students who participated in GIR’s PlayWrite Program. We’re performing Tuesday May5, hope to see you there ✨

KM Dance Project’s award winning multidisciplinary dance performance Raw Fruit is back as a live soundtrack recording! This time we are focusing on the original songs from the show and stories behind the music. You have two chances to catch our “MTV Unplugged” vibe at 2pm (in-person and live streamed) & 7pm (in-person only) Tuesday, October 7 at the Jazz Museum on Esplanade. The museum will be open, so come by an hour ahead of the performances if you’d like to take a free self guided tour. Please join us!

We are celebrating ten years with ten new works choreographed by eleven Black dance artists including a beautiful finale co-choreographed by yours Kesha McKey () & Catherine Caldwell (). Join us after the opening night performance 9:30 - 11pm for a toast and reception/dance party.

The KM Dance Project choreographer showcase “Building Dreams” is this weekend! We are celebrating ten years with ten new works choreographed by 11 artists including local artist .

She will be teaching a free dance class at the Contemporary Arts Center this Saturday, August 25 at 11am. Kristal wants you be prepared to move unapologetically, intuitively and collaboratively. Class is free so be sure to arrive early to reserve your spot!
