Let’s talk about weather… according to the current forecast, it looks like Gumbo weather. It’s gonna be chilly but dry, perfect for a warm bowl of sunshine and love called gumbo. 💛✨

We are inside and cozy. 🥰♨️

If you’ve followed us for the past 9 years, Mother Nature takes JOY in trolling us with questionable weather. 🚫🌧️

The show must go on! 🍲🏆

Vegan 2 The Soul Food & Lifestyle Festival hosts the 2nd annual Vegan Gumbo Cookoff happening this Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Taste gumbo, potato salad & grilled cheese from some of the city's best Vegan chefs! Fan favorite gumbo will move to the next round & in front of our panel....

This is your chance to try some of the cities best vegan gumbo all in one place! And of course grilled chez & potato salad!

How it works: Local chefs will prepare their prized dish for you to sample and vote on the fan favorite. Top four fan favorites will go before the panel of judges to select the winner!
