If I could go back and talk to my 12 year old self, I’d tell him to start learning about investing.

Not because investing makes you rich overnight.

Because it teaches patience, ownership, and to think differently about the future.

This fall, our young warriors will learn stock market basics, paper trading, and the foundations of wealth building.

I’m hoping the conversations continue around the dinner table long after class ends.

I am reading about “fugitive pedagogy” from Jarvis Givens and thinking… yo, that’s really what a lot of us are trying to do as parents.

We want our children to know who they are.
We want them asking questions.
We want them connected to culture, Ourstory, language, and community.

Everybody doesn’t want that kind of education for their child. That’s cool.

But at Kamali, liberation is the goal. Not just grades and test scores. We want our children to think deeply, move with confidence, and know they come from something greater.
