"The Original Party Race" The course is a USATF sanctioned and certified 10,000 meters where a world best was recorded in 2002.

This event is a nationally recognized 10-kilometer ("10k") road race (6.2 miles) that is held annually the Saturday before Easter. More than 20,000 entrants annually traverse the fast, point to point course that starts by the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, crosses through Jackson Square and finishes in City Park. The race is also complemented by a great Expo and features a fabulous post race festival.
