Trade Show Exhibit Production Team Member
Cardinal Expo is seeking an ambitious, highly skilled production shop technician to join our Trade Show exhibit building team. Cardinal Expo builds custom trade show exhibits in our fast paced production shop. We deliver our exhibits to our customers at a range of industries in all major trade show cities. This position includes working with a team in a shop setting, managing task assignments, upkeep, shipping and receiving, and check-in and check-out procedures with mechanical knowledge to build and pack tradeshow exhibits. Cardinal Expo is located in New Orleans East.
Serious applicants should be highly motivated, task-orientated individuals capable of maintaining a busy production facility.
Qualifications:
Organized individual able to keep track of several tasks and deadlines
Familiar with industrial and mechanical terminology
Able to operate industrial equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, carpentry tools
Able to lift over 75 pounds or operate the lift to move heavy pieces
Able to pass a drug screening and background check
Solid experience in a production house/working in a production environment
Able to work in hot/cold/humid environments without health issues - workspace is NOT climate controlled.
Experience operating carpentry tools such as: drills, table saws, tape measures, and various hand tools
Familiar with different types of construction methods and materials
Knowledge of various safety and caution procedures required for working with potentially dangerous tools
Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
Motivated and personable, “Can do” attitude to work with the production team and office team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
