What a weekend that was out at the Nevada City Enduro! We had great weather, great trails to ride on, great people to ride/race with, and some pretty great tacos at the end!

I wanted to give a thank you to all the racers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and land owners who brought the vibes and helped make this event a big success!

I also wanted to give a big shout out to to Bicyclists Of Nevada County , Hoot Trail, and all the other volunteers who spent many many hours to create a beautifully built trail network that not only we got to race on but has also put Nevada City on the map as one of biggest mountain bike destinations that we have here in California! The Nevada City Enduro would not be possible if it wasn’t for the community of riders who fell in love with the area and put the time and effort in to help make this place grow!

Thank you to the community of Nevada City for letting us host a race event on your home trails!

We all look forward to bringing everyone back out for the 2025 edition of the Nevada City Enduro, and until then we hope to see you all out at the other race events we have going on for the rest of the year!

We are just two days out till the Nevada City Enduro!

Categories, start times, and registration times can now be found on the Nevada City Enduro Race Book on the racing section of our website!

We can use some extra help out there during the race.. If you live in the Nevada City area or just want to drive out for the day, we need people out on course to be part of the cheer squad for the racers! Every racer out there can use some motivation from a cheer squad and you can be part of that!
Extra points will be given for:
-Dressing up
-Bringing music
-Bringing out the rowdiness

For direction on how to bring up the rowdiness on the cheer squad find Abbie Crews on race day.

After all the racing has finished come on out and join us at the Scott’s Flat Lake Gate 1 Campground for the after party/awards ceremony and taco’s served up by Taqueria La Herradura!

And if you still haven't registered to race yet, make sure you do that before online registration closes Friday at 11:59 AM!

Nevada City Enduro Update!

Stage 3: Scott’s Flat Trail will be shortened. No longer will the pedally section at the bottom of the trail will be part of the timed segment. This is bad news for the riders looking for a cross country race, but for racers who want to race all downhill in all 3 stages this is for you! Stage 3 will be ending right where Scott’s Flat Trail first crosses the fire road.

Start times/age categories will be sent out on Thursday!

Pre-registration will be ending on Friday at 12:00 PM. So make sure you sign up early to save some money and to save us some last minute work!

We are exactly one month out until the Nevada City Enduro! Sign up by April 19th and save some money!

We would like to give a shout out to the Bicyclists Of Nevada County for all their effort in turning Nevada City a mountain bike destination! They will be hosting a Grand Opening event for their new trails on April 20th at the Harmony Ridge Market. Come check out the new trails and support the trail builders who have volunteered a lot of their time and efforts into making this a place for everyone to come and ride. Not only did they build trails that bring people from all around to their community but they also built the first ever bike only trail system in all of Tahoe National Forest!

BONC is setting an example by showing the Forest Service that trails can be built for a single user group and still be economically viable to the communities that surround these trails. These mountain bike specific trails also greatly reduce conflicts between trail user groups and spread out the use of mountain bikes on multi-use trails.

We at Bear Race Events are hosting a bike race called the Nevada City Enduro on these mountain bike specific trails. Events like these bring in people and resources that help the local economy not just on the weekend of the event but all throughout the year as well. The Nevada City Enduro is proof that mountain bike specific trails in the Tahoe National Forest are beneficial to the local economy.

We invite you to join us on May 11th for the Nevada City Enduro on the first ever mountain specific downhill trails in the Tahoe National Forest built by the Bicyclist of Nevada County.

It's Nevada City Enduro week and we are 5 days away until we kick off the first enduro race on the Nevada City trails!

Online registration is starting to fill up and will be closing this Friday at noon. We will be having on-site registration this year but for an extra $20 on top of the registration fees. With the lack of service out at the venue, on-site registration really adds on a lot of extra work for me and the registration staff. So sign up early and save some money!

We will open packet pick up early on Friday night at the Wheelhouse from 5pm to 7pm. And on Saturday morning we will have packet pick up from 7:30am to 10:00am. Start times for Stage 1 will be sent out to everyone Tuesday evening.

The trails are all open thus week for pre ride and the course will be marked on Friday. With the extra rain we got last week, and the weather staying clear and warming up to the low 80s for race day, we will be able to race on some amazing trail conditions and jump into Scott's Flat Lake after the race!

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Nevada City Enduro this weekend for some good fun racing on the amazing trails that BONC built in the area!

If you haven’t been out to the Nevada City area for mountain biking, Shane Scrimager of mtb_norcal put together a great video of Scott’s Drop, which is one of the trails featured in the upcoming Nevada City Enduro! With 1000 feet of vertical descent full of big table tops and berms Scott’s Drop has become one of the favorite trails in the Harmony Ridge Trail System!

We are less than 3 weeks out until the Nevada City Enduro and registration is starting to fill up!

For the Nevada City Enduro your safety is our top priority. With the first route we had set up for the event we recognize there are potential dangers that can leave our riders to lose control and crash off the trail. We would like to minimize the dangers as much as we can on course so we will be changing up the route for the enduro.

The Nevada City Enduro will still be using all the same trails for the race but the route will now be ran backwards. That means all timed stages will now start from the bottom of the trails and end at the top of the trails. This new format of making all the timed segments uphill will greatly reduce the speed of the racers which will also reduce the potential dangers out on course. All downhill sections of the course will now be green circle trails and pavement, and we ask that you reduce your speeds when traveling downhill for everyone's safety.

If you have already signed up for the Nevada City Enduro your race entry is still honored under the new format and we look forward to having you out at the event!

We are excited to announce a brand new mountain bike enduro to Northern California!

On May 13th 2023, The Nevada City Enduro partnered with the Bicyclists Of Nevada County and the Tahoe National Forest Service, put together a multi-stage enduro race on the iconic trails in heart of the Gold Country. These trails are suited for all types of rider levels to enjoy rather you're a seasoned pro or just starting out. With A lines, B lines, and C lines on the obstacles, you can get as rowdy and as sendy as you want on the race course.

The Nevada City Enduro is also the first enduro race in Northern California that also caters to the NorCal Interscholastic Cycling League riders. With categories for all high school levels as well as categories for middle school riders the Nevada City Enduro is a great opportunity for kids to get introduced to a new style of mountain bike racing and compete with riders of their age level.

Registration for the Nevada City Enduro is now open, and we are capping it to the first 300 riders for the first year of this event.
