Today I made the decision to cancel the High Peaks Art festival. We'll return in 2021 and look forward to sharing a beautiful weekend together then.

Cathy Leeman Stiers sells High Peaks Art Festival to Deb DAndrea!!!

The 20th Annual High Peaks Art Festival will be held June 27-28, 2020 in Nederland, Colorado. Longtime Nederland resident Cathy Stiers has run the Festival for the past 11 years, starting off as the Artisan Coordinator in 2008 for the Nederland Chamber of Commerce. She purchased the High Peaks Art Festival in 2011 and has been its Director ever since. The Festival is a beloved community event, enthusiastically supported by local residents, businesses and visitors.

After a very enjoyable 11 years of running the High Peaks Art Festival, Cathy has now sold it to another long time Nederland resident and Festival organizer extraordinaire, Deb DAndrea. Deb is well known in Nederland for assisting many events, and has been a High Peaks Art Festival volunteer and Artist Award sponsor. Cathy is very excited to hand over the reins to Deb, knowing that she will continue her vision of the Festival's mission to bring high caliber fine art and craft to Nederland every summer. Bill Peterson first made tables over 50 years ago while a student at CU Boulder. " I couldn't make a living from stone topped tables, so I became a rocket scientist." He uses natural stone with semi-precious focus stones. The natural Lyons sandstone comes from quarries near Boulder.

Julie Naster lives and works outside of Nederland on 18 acres where she designs and creates clay pieces in her wood fired kiln. Stop by her booth to learn more about this fascinating process! This piece,from her Porter Ranch Collection, was inspired by ranch and farm life.

Phylleri Ball of Three Sisters Weaving will be exhibiting her gorgeous woven wearables and her new line of goat milk soaps. She raises goats on her mountain property outside of Nederland, how cool is that!
