🏁 THE 10TH ANNUAL NAZARETH ADULT SOAPBOX RACE IS HAPPENING! 🏁

Nazareth Council has officially approved the 10th Annual Adult Soapbox Race, coming to Nazareth on June 5, 2027!

🚨 WE'RE TRYING A STATIC START! 🚨

No pushers.
No starting gates.
No ramps.

We're moving the starting line to a more significant incline and moving the finish line farther down the hill.

Here's how it works:

🏎️ Get in your car.
🦶 Hold the brakes.
👂 Wait for "GO!"
🦶 Let go of the brakes.
💨 Hope you built your car correctly.

That's it.

If your car won't stay put with the brakes engaged, one of our highly trained NASBRA professionals will hold it until "GO!"

And yes, you are allowed to rock your body back and forth to help get the car moving.

But let's be clear:

❌ You cannot touch the wheels.
❌ You cannot touch the ground.
❌ You cannot push off.
❌ You cannot install some ridiculous sliding-seat contraption that turns your fat ass into a human piston and launches the car.

In other words, you can wiggle. You just can't engineer your way into cheating.

We're basically asking everyone to sit there, do absolutely nothing, and let gravity and questionable engineering determine who wins.

What could possibly go wrong?

We need your help settling an extremely important scientific question:

Do soapbox cars REALLY need to be pushed? 🤔

We’re considering a possible rule change for next year…

Instead of having someone give your car a big shove at the starting line, simply let the car go and allow gravity to do what gravity does best. (we would move the starting line so it's more on an incline)

No push.
No shove.

Just YOU. YOUR CAR. GRAVITY.

Would it make the race more competitive? More exciting? More ridiculous? Or would we simply be removing one of the few things keeping this event remotely organized? 🤣
