Four great bands, one magical night under the pines in Downtown Nacogdoches.
We're just over one week away from the return of Blueberry Bluegrass in the Park, and we can't wait to celebrate the kickoff of the Texas Blueberry Festival with you all!
Here's our fantastic lineup of Bluegrass musicians:
Rose and The Bahia Boys
Hailing from Carthage, Texas, Rose & The Bahia Boys bring beautiful vocal harmonies and a lineup of talented banjo, dobro, mandolin, and guitar pickers for what can only be described as a foot-tapping, hand-clapping, hallelujah good time.
The Grassburs
A dynamic bluegrass trio of three talented brothers, The Grassburs bring energy, harmony, and heart to every performance. Over the past four years, they’ve captivated audiences across the country with their vibrant stage presence, rich sibling harmonies, and a genuine love for connecting with their listeners. Whether playing lively tunes or sharing stories between songs, The Grassburs never fail to leave a lasting impression.
The Hunt Brothers Band
One of Oklahoma’s premier bluegrass ensembles, The Hunt Brothers Band blends the rich traditions of the genre with echoes of swing and country rock. Formed in May 2022, the band is the musical collaboration of Oklahoma bluegrass veterans Andrew and Jonathan Hunt, award-winning guitarist Samuel Grounds, and mandolin virtuoso Scott Schmidt. Known for their tight harmonies and masterful instrumentation, the band is joined by an all-star lineup of touring musicians to deliver high-energy and engaging performances. Formerly the house band at the legendary Byron Berline’s Double Stop Music Hall, The Hunt Brothers Band is now bringing their signature sound to festival stages and concert halls across the country — and Nacogdoches is lucky to have them.
The Little Roy and Lizzy Show
Closing out the evening are Lincoln County natives Little Roy and Lizzy, who formed The Little Roy and Lizzy Show in 2009 and have since built a reputation as one of the most entertaining and high-energy bluegrass acts performing across the United States. Little Roy — whom Lizzy calls “one of the fastest pickers” — primarily plays banjo but also takes on guitar and autoharp, while Lizzy sings and plays fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Together, they deliver a show that is as much fun as it is musically impressive, with Little Roy’s signature comedic antics — and his iconic red suspenders — keeping audiences laughing all night long.
Blueberry Bluegrass in the Park is free, family-friendly, and pet-friendly. The fun kicks off at 7:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, but please leave coolers at home. The evening will also feature food trucks, vendors, and activities for kids, making it a perfect night out for the whole family.
Special thank you to our presenting sponsor Rex Perry Autoplex for bringing this event to life!
