Happy Friday! Who's ready for another exciting Entertainer Announcement?!
These next two will be familiar faces to many festival goers. Fjord Folk Fest is proud to announce Ryan Keplin-Fiddling Lefty, and Country Gentlemen as part of our exciting entertainment lineup!
Ryan Keplin:
A native of Belcourt, ND, Ryan Keplin has established his reputation as a distinctive left-handed fiddle player and entertainer, astonishing crowds wherever he plays. His spectacular shows feature a mixture of fiddle music and singing, leaving his audiences waiting to hear more each time. This multi-talented entertainer can play not only the fiddle, but also the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, mandolin, and piano. Ryan was inducted into the International Fiddlers Hall of Fame in 2001 and has played at various prestigious events and festivals throughout the US and Canada throughout the years.
Country Gentlemen:
The Country Gentlemen are a dynamic country trio featuring Gene Putnam, Larry Nelson, and Tim Klimpel. Gene and Larry are proud members of the Dakota Musicians Hall of Fame, and together they bring decades of musicianship to the stage. Gene’s warm lead vocals and nostalgic acoustic guitar style, rooted in the finger-style traditions of Chet Atkins, have made him a familiar favorite in local music circles. Larry anchors the group with steady, melodic bass lines that keep the crowd swaying, and he adds both lead and background vocals. Tim completes the group with expressive lead guitar work, delivering classic country twang and string-bending honed through years of playing in regional country bands and church worship teams.
