Today we hosted the first-ever One City Hoops tryouts for grades 3–8, and the gym was full of heart, hustle, and hope. 💪🏾 From the youngest ballers lacing up their sneakers, to the older players pushing their skills to the next level—every single athlete showed up with passion and drive.

This isn’t just about basketball—it’s about building confidence, teamwork, and community. Seeing players from across the city come together, pushing one another and representing what One City is all about, was powerful.

🔥 The energy was contagious.

🔥 The future of One City Hoops is bright.

We’re opening NEW doors in our city, and this is just the beginning! 🙌🏾

Starting this December, One City is teaming up with Augsburg University to bring you an unforgettable high school boys’ basketball holiday tournament—the One City Holiday Classic! 🏀

🗓 Mark your calendars for December 27, 28, and 30, 2024, because this lineup is 🔥:

- Hopkins
- South St. Paul
- Two Rivers
- Camden (Patrick Henry)

All games will be hosted at Augsburg University, and the best part? ALL proceeds go to support the Augsburg Men’s Basketball Team, helping them continue making a powerful impact in our CITY! 💪🏾

We’re thrilled to announce the FIRST EVER One City Hoops event—the Snelling Ave Invitational, happening January 4-5, 2025! 🏀

We’ve partnered with Hamline University and Macalester College to bring an unforgettable experience to 3rd-8th grade boys teams, and we’re playing on COLLEGE COURTS! 🙌🏾 Each team gets a minimum of 3 games, so get ready to bring the heat!

We are excited to announce the launch of One City Hoops. 🏀
The goal of One City Hoops is to bring premier youth basketball events back to the CITY. 💯

My wife and I have a heart to see events back in the heart of the Twin Cities. Over the years more and more events have become condensed primarily to the SW Metro. We really believe this has been a contributing factor to the disparity in local success for many of our city school’s and the overall disparity of athletic resources in Minneapolis and St. Paul. We believe there can be a vision for igniting youth basketball in our city in a new fun and unique way with a percentage of funds from each event going back to initiatives to impact the very schools and programs that make up the heart of our CITY. 🧡
