Minnesota chapter of American Muslims for Palestine. Supporting Palestine through education/advocacy We do this for two reasons.

First, we want to put a human face on Palestinians so people will come to see we are all alike, with the same hopes, dreams and aspirations. Second, we believe once Americans know the truth that their tax dollars support the longest-lasting and the last military occupation in modern history they won’t stand for it and will demand that Congress change our foreign policy in the Middle East to one that is more balanced and just for everyone living in the Holy Land.

🚨PROTEST: ST PAUL MUST DISCLOSE ITS 2026 CONTRACT FOR SKYDIO DRONES

Residents and City Council blocked further expansion of SPPD’s Israel-linked, AI-powered Skydio drone fleet. Now SPPD is evading our demand to reveal the massive cost of its existing drone program.

Recent reporting suggests that even the mayor has privately criticized SPPD’s latest contract with surveillance tech company Axon, which brought a Skydio drone program that SPPD implemented in May this year. City officials have released bits and pieces of older city contracts with Axon, but we have yet to see the controversial 2026 contract that brought a docked drone program similar to the one Minneapolis council rejected in July. SPPD, however, implemented its Skydio drones unilaterally, with no public hearing and seemingly no elected oversight.

Skydio wins have been recently reported in the media, but the focus is completely omitting the point ‼️‼️

Let’s be clear: the fight against Skydio is not JUST about local privacy 👆 It’s about surveillance in vulnerable communities everywhere, INCLUDING Palestine! 🇵🇸🇵🇸 But recent coverage has continually omitted this point and focused solely on general surveillance concerns.

The fight against Skydio is a fight against genocide. The fight against Skydio is a Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.

That’s what makes this movement strong. 💪🏼 Minnesota community members have been organizing since the start of the Gaza genocide (and even well before!) at the municipal level, and worked to pass multiple ceasefire resolutions in the Twin Cities—this campaign is an extension. The people are showing that we CAN divest our city from genocide complicity. 🔥🔥

The Free Palestine Coalition held a rally outside Minnesota’s largest festival of the year to remind everyone that divestment is urgent! MN must end its aid to Israel NOW ‼️‼️

We passed out hundreds of flyers about divestment to fair-goers 🙏

STATE FAIR PROTEST: Gaza is still starving! Demand that MN divests from genocide NOW! 🇵🇸

Gaza may have disappeared from the news, but the genocide continues! Over 1,200 Gazans have been killed since the so-called “ceasefire.”

While families enjoy the privileged and comfort of the big MN get-together of the year, millions of Palestinians are still living in refugee camps, in military detention, and in an open-air prison where they’re suffering from grueling lack of medical care, mass disease, a poisoned water supply, a devastated economy, and the continued slaughter of civilians.

MN, WAKE UP ‼️‼️

With the upcoming elections, we need to make sure our elected officials and the public hear our message loud and clear: MN must divest from genocide NOW!

We won in Minneapolis. Now it’s time for St. Paul to follow suit and vote against Skydio surveillance drones in our city. Skydio supplies drones to the Israeli military and ICE, and the drones have been used by US law enforcement to spy on protestors across the country‼️

St. Paul has kept their Skydio contract hidden from their constituents. The Free Palestine Coalition has just sent out a freedom of Information Act request to gain info about the contract. Join us to demand St. Paul is transparent with their constituents AND cuts the contract with Skydio! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Do you want ICE and the IDF’s surveillance drones in St. Paul? 👀

Thanks to our diligent organizing, Minneapolis recently voted against a contract with Skydio, ICE and Israel’s drone supplier. But St. Paul is lagging behind in the anti-genocide fight ‼️

Since 2023, St. Paul has had a contract with Skydio, and in 2025, the city voted to expand the contract WITHOUT a public hearing! The details of the contract are entirely hidden from the public. But constituents deserve to know how their city invests in genocide drones!

Thats why the Free Palestine Coalition has made “Skydio Out of St. Paul” our next fight 🔥🔥

We’ve filed a Freedom of Information Act Request to get details on the contract. Now, we need YOU to take action and make city council know where the public stands!

This clip only shows the overflow room! The chamber and overflow were PACKED with community members who showed up to say NO to IDF drones in Minneapolis ‼️

Skydio drones are surveillance tools used by ICE and Israel in their genocide of the Palestinians. Minneapolis was set to vote on a 75-day contract with Skydio, but the people showed up and said, “drones don’t keep us safer! Militarization doesn’t keep us safer! WE DO!” 🔥🔥

BDS VICTORY: Minneapolis voted against Skydio IDF drones! 💪🏼

Minneapolis has set a historic precedent once again! 🔥 After weeks of diligent organizing by the Free Palestine Coalition and Minneapolis residents, six brave city council members voted against a contract with Skydio—a company which provides surveillance drones to both ICE and the Israeli military ‼️

THE PEOPLE UNITED CANNOT BE DEFEATED ✊🏻🇵🇸

This win is another testament to the strength of the Minneapolis community’s mobilization. Once again, after our historic ceasefire resolution—the first in the country to call for an end to US aid to Israel, AND after our uprising to Operation Metro Surge—we have proven that Minneapolis knows how to resist and how to champion human rights 📣📣

We are especially grateful for the six brave council members who voted for principles and the human rights of their most vulnerable constituents Robin for Ward 2 Aurin Chowdhury- Minneapolis City Council Member Ward 12 Jamal Osman Elliott Payne Soren Stevenson Jason Chavez 🏆
