Next up! Playing Amerigrass on Nov 22, we would love to introduce you to the immeasurably magical Joseph Huber Band:

Joseph Huber hails from the state of Wisconsin, and seems to bring forth the varied voices of whatever it may be that lies dormant within either the fertile soil or the callous concrete of that world. It has been said, “You don’t just like Joseph Huber’s music. You feel it’s something that the rest of the world needs to hear, and how criminal it is that it isn’t spreading far and wide.”

As the singer, songwriter, performer, recorder and producer of all of his own material, Huber has his hands full, but never seems to miss a beat. And his own ‘solo’ material has now certainly surpassed the output of his past efforts, both in volume and substance. As one of the founding member of the .357 String Band—a group that would probably fit better in today’s ‘Americana-saturated’ environment than in the early to middle aughts—he’s gradually honed a sound that seems to fill a very real gap within the still-emerging genre. Having progressed, Huber continues moving onward and upward captivating folks with his sincere and well-crafted songs under his own name along with the impeccable musicianship of his fellow touring partners. Whether it’s irresistible, fiddle-driven, dancing tunes or honest, heart-wrenching “songwriter” songs, Huber’s songs and shows spans the spectrum of ‘Roots’ music while preferring not to stay within the boundaries of any strict genre classification.

Gearing up for Amerigrass on NOV 22 at The Hook and Ladder! We’re so pleased to introduce you to one of the 4 bands that will be playing:

Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward.
Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana.
Even though Turn Turn Turn was born as a cover band, the group’s original material – sweetheart alt-country folk-pop – quickly stole the spotlight.

Turn Turn Turn’s Laurel Canyon meets 70s-Nashville-cosmic soul vibe is layered with three-part harmonies that stitch the band’s musical tapestry together. Brynstad, Smith, and Levy have distinct voices, and the combination—a “fourth voice”—is greater than the sum of its parts.

It’s been a week since we had our very first Amerigrass Festival at The Hook and Ladder Theater & Lounge in Minneapolis. Looking back at photos, it’s so hard to choose just 10 to sum it all up.

It. Was. Fantastic…..!

We want to thank all the wonderful people that came out to the show and also want to thank the behind the scenes folks that truly turned this idea into something special.

Thank you to Adventures in Americana , The Happy Trucker Show and Happy Productions Studios , , Nobool Presents and Rick our endlessly helpful, cheerful merch guy- you were all so vital!

Thank you to My_bob_country and Womenfolk Radio Show , Radio Heartland , KMSU / MN Music Channel for spreading the word and getting people out. We appreciate you very much. 🌻

Special shout out to Smouse in the House for not only doing photos and the Smouse in the House podcast interviews, but ALSO running around all evening like a ninja grabbing all these live shots of the night. Does an event even exist unless you have great photos of it? THANK YOU!!
