Milwaukee Fights Back Against Trump Coalition Milwaukee Fights Back Coalition uplifts and mobilizes all those resisting the Trump Administration and the reactionary Republican agenda.

The Coalition to March on the Republican National Convention (RNC) is planning a major march and rally on the first day of the RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 15, 2024. A national coalition of groups and unions will come together to:

Stop the Republican’s racist and reactionary agenda! Defend Reproductive Rights! Demand peace, justice, and equality! The Coalition to March on the RNC will host

a huge demonstration with people from across the country in opposition to the Republicans and their backward agenda. We will bring the fight right to the front door of their reactionary convention here in Milwaukee. We will continue the spirit of the George Floyd Rebellion where millions of people took to the streets to demand
justice. We will organize and lead the popular opposition to a second term for Donald Trump and other Republican candidates just as we did in 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. As in previous years, the Coalition is seeking to unite as many groups and organizations as possible. Over the course of the next year in the buildup to the March on the RNC, leaders will make plans together for the mass demonstration where everyone is welcome, along with their loved ones and families. The Coalition to March on the RNC led protests in St. Paul 2008, Tampa 2012, and Cleveland 2016 when Trump won the Republican nomination. Many of these same organizations served as the core of the Coalition to March on the DNC in 2020 when the Democrats faced protests from seven families whose loved ones were wrongfully murdered by police in Milwaukee and other parts of Wisconsin.

Earlier today, ICE agents shot and murdered a local Chicago immigrant, Silverio Villegas-González, in his own community. Chicago local organizations as well as Milwaukee local organizations have consistently warned about the dangers of these escalatory ICE raids that have been sent to communities across the Chicago area. These raids do nothing but hurt our community members. These raids are scary, but we remain committed to being in the streets and demanding justice for Villegas-González and all immigrants swept up in these raids. When immigrants are under attack, what do we do? Stand up fight back!

STAND UP, FIGHT BACK!!!

With the Trump Administration commencing “Operation Midway Blitz” in Chicago, it’s time for those in Milwaukee and throughout the State of Wisconsin to join in solidarity with those impacted by ICE raids in Chicago! Chicagoans know their streets will be endangered by Trump’s thugs barging in, stoking violence, and kidnapping community members and families. Join MFB in protesting Trump’s racist, violent, and reactionary attacks on Chicago at 5 PM on Saturday, September 13th, at the Great Lakes Naval Base to tell those ICE invaders straight to their faces to get the HELL OUT of Chicago and its communities!

**Parking Instructions:
There is no parking around the Naval Base, so please arrive and park at the Metra station at 464 Sheridan Rd (north of the base). We will gather there as a group at 5 PM and then march south to the base from there!
