Fourth on our list of Senior Spotlights is Cayden Smith. He is from Sunbury, Ohio, and is majoring in Flight Technology and Operations with a minor in Airport Systems and Operations. Cayden has been a member of the team for 3 years, competing in Aircraft Recognition, E6B, SCAN, Ground Trainer, Short-Field/Power-Off Landings, and Message Drop. He has served on our executive board as the Social Media & Marketing Officer and President. Something that he learned from the Flight Team is that Mother Nature rarely decides to cooperate when we're flying in competition. Some advice for new members: socialize with the team, find a mentor, and focus on an event that you enjoy doing! His role models are his parents and past flight instructors, with post graduation goals to become a Flight instructor and work his way to the airlines.

Thank you, Cayden, for all you have done for the team. Catch you on the next Frequency!

Join us this Saturday, April 25th, from 13:00-15:00 EDT for a FOD walk at 1G0! We look forward to seeing you!

Starting our Senior Spotlight this year, we have Andrew Shamblen! From Crofton, Maryland, and majoring in Flight Technology and Operations, he has been a member of the Falcon Flight Team for 3 years. He has competed in SCAN, E6B, Power-Off and Short-Field Landings, Message Drop, Navigation, AMT, and Ground Trainer. He also served on the executive board as our Safety Officer. Something that he learned from the Falcon Flight Team was what a calendar month is. Some advice to new members is to learn everything you can through your events, and if you can learn one new thing a day, you will be a well-rounded competitor and pilot. His role model is Owen Zahradka, and his post-graduation goals are to find a time-building job and get 1,000 hours.

Thank you, Andrew, for all you have done for the team. Blue skies and tailwinds!
