When Sanctuary Rescue committed to taking over the Midlothian Day Festival, someone had the great idea to just purchase our own inflatables so we wouldn’t have to rent them year to year. We bought the inflatables inventory from the Children’s Museum of Richmond and a now defunct entertainment center in Maryland at auction, and we continued patting ourselves on the back for being money-saving geniuses. Then today it was time for a dry run to make sure all of the inflatables actually inflated. Hilarity ensued as a dozen middle aged suburban moms (and grand moms) huffed and puffed and pulled and pushed and tugged and unrolled and scratched their heads as a literal half ton of commercial inflatables got rolled across the parking lot and inflated to the point that they touched the 14 foot ceilings. At some point the inflatables won and our rescue resource center is now hosting once inflated blobs. Basically what we’re saying is your children will have tons-o-fun on the world’s HUGEST inflatables tested and set up with care. But you gotta be at Midlothian Day in EIGHT more days, Saturday, October 17, at Midlothian Middle School for the greatest fall festival you could ever dream up. Parade is at 9 AM, festival starts at 10 AM.

I haven’t told anyone this yet, but it’s time to confess. This large trailer of pumpkins and gourds has been ordered and is on its way to Midlothian. So if you haven’t already decked out your porch with autumn gourds and pre-Jack-O-Lanterns, we’ve got you covered! We’ll see you in just NINE short days at the 44th Annual Midlothian Day Parade & Festival, Saturday, October 17, at Midlothian Middle School, 13501 Midlothian Turnpike. Parade from 9 AM to 10 AM, festival from 10 AM to 3 PM.

We would like to exploit this puppy’s adorableness to get your attention so that you’ll like, share, and comment on this post telling you and all your friends about the 44th Annual Midlothian Village Day Festival on Saturday, October 17, at Midlothian Middle School. Although the festival has been around for almost half a century, this is Sanctuary Rescue’s first year hosting. There’s a parade from 9 to 10 AM, the festival is from 10 AM to 3 PM. There are 100 local crafters/vendors/makers, a petting zoo, adoptable cats and dogs, a food truck food court, a pumpkin patch, games, inflatables, stage performances and so much more - oh and don’t forget the parade! Mark your calendars, and get ready for a whole lotta fun!

Happy Sunday Funday, Friends! We’re just under three weeks away from the 44th Annual Midlothian Day Parade & Festival, and we need to let everyone know that all of our vendor spots are filled, all of our food vendor spots are filled, all of our sponsorship spots are filled, all of our stage performance spots are filled, and all of our parade spots are filled! It’s going to be a great event with plenty of shopping, food, games, booths, entertainment, and fun times with Midlothian neighbors.
Join us Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Midlothian Middle School (parking and shuttle located at J.B. Watkins Elementary School).

We are just 2️⃣2️⃣ days away from the 44th Annual Midlothian Day Parade and Festival where this year we are going to celebrate the leaves changing colors, the crisp autumn air, fruits of the harvest, and cozy season with a Family Fall Market - sit a spell on our hay bales while sipping apple c***r or enjoying a caramel apple while the kids hunt for the perfect pumpkin.
