I'm proud to share a project that let me wear a few different hats at once.
The City of Pembroke Pines, Florida - Government commissioned me to design and produce a large-scale vinyl mural commemorating America 250 — the 250th anniversary of the United States — for the lobby of City Hall. While I'm known primarily as a public art curator, this project called on my background as a graphic designer as well.
The installation spans two walls in a corner, designed so the imagery reads as one continuous panoramic composition. A bald eagle soars across both panels, flanked by the Statue of Liberty, George Washington, the Liberty Bell, the U.S. Capitol, the Declaration of Independence, the American flag, and the official America 250 logo.
Seeing it installed is always the best part. Proud to have contributed something lasting to our community's celebration of this milestone.
