1 QUALIFYING MODELS
1.1.1 Competition will be open to American and foreign highway use factory production vehicles, 106” stock wheelbase or less. Compact Trucks permitted.
1.1.2 No turbos, blowers or supercharged engines allowed.
1.1.3 Convertibles, roadsters, four-wheel drive or four-wheel steering vehicles, and mid-engine cars, are not permitted.
1.1.4 Aftermarket aluminum cylinder heads are no
t allowed.
1.2 Engine Size / Weights
1.2.1 4 Cylinder Engines Max displacement – 2650c.c.
1.2.2 All cars will weigh a Minimum 2100lbs
1.2.3 Final Weight Calculation shall be according to the weight declaration form attached.
1.3 FUEL INJECTION ENGINES
1.3.1 Fuel injection must be stock for year, make and model. OEM or aftermarket ECU allowed.
1.3.2 Fuel mapping, timing, delete sensors, etc. may be modified.
1.3.3 Aftermarket air box allowed.
1.3.4 No complete standalone fuel injection systems allowed.
1.4 Carbureted ENGINES
1.4.1 Any single two-barrel carburetor allowed. Multiple carburetors disallowed.
1.4.2 0c.c. to 2457c.c. – Maximum 500 CFM
1.4.3 2457c.c. to 2650c.c. – Must run a Holley 350 cfm carburetor, part number 7448.
1.4.5 Air cooled Volkswagen may use any carburetor up to 650 cfm.
1.4.6 Choke horn may be removed
1.4.7 Air cleaner / filter mandatory at all times.
1.4.8 Throttle must have two return springs.
1.4.9 Carburetor adapter: Maximum 2 1⁄4” allowed between mounting surface of carburetor and intake.
1.5 ROLL CAGE
1.5.1 Full roll cage of 1 1⁄2” x .095” steel seamless tubing or larger required. All specifications are subject to tech.
1.5.2 Minimum three crash bars on the driver’s side, two on passenger side. Driver side bars must extend into driver’s door cavity and touch door skin; at least one bar must extend into passenger side door cavity.
1.5.3 Offset roll cages. Must be approved by tech.
1.5.4 Plated door bars highly recommended
1.5.5 Front hoop recommended.
1.6 FRAME
1.6.1 Original frame rails required. May be reinforced.
1.6.2 Any engine in any chassis or body
1.6.3 Rear firewall with minimum 20-gauge steel is required between driver’s compartment and the fuel tank.
1.6.4 Fender wells may be removed. Strut towers may be mounted to cage.
1.6.5 Floor pan and fire wall right of the tunnel may be removed. Tunneling allowed. Subject to tech approval
1.7 BODIES / BUMPERS / GLASS
1.7.1 All cars must have complete stock appearing bodies, Stock steel, aluminum and fiberglass body parts are permitted. Aftermarket nose and tail piece as well as reduced in size late model bodies are permitted. Dirt style bodies must be approved by tech.
1.7.2 Any race car body on any chassis is permitted. Please remember this is an internationally televised race so make sure your car looks its best.
1.7.3 Doors must be stock appearing; may be made of aluminum. All doors must be securely fastened.
1.7.4 Hood may be lightened and trimmed to allow aftermarket nosepiece. Fiberglass replacement hood ok.
1.7.5 Fenders may be altered for clearance only, Fiberglass formed fenders ok.
1.7.6 Side skirts, air dams, front and rear spoilers allowed,
1.7.7 One 8″ tall rear spoiler allowed. Must be mounted past the rear tires and not protrude farther back than the outermost edge of the bumper. Must not exceed the width of the body.
1.7.8 All cars are to be brightly painted with contrasting colors. Cars must be maintained in a neat appearance. Car numbers must be on both sides of the car and on the roof. Side and roof numbers must be at least twenty (20) inches tall with a three (3) inch stroke per number. Four (4) inch min height numbers must be placed on the upper right corner of the windshield. NO TEMPORARY NUMBERS (DUCT TAPE).
1.7.9 Bumpers cannot extend past body lines and if aftermarket nose & tail are used, they are to be mounted under the cover(s).
1.7.10 Side nerf bars allowed. Must extend past the outer edge of tires and have NO Sharp edges.
1.7.11 Full or Half front windshield required MAY BE WIRE MESH subject to tech approval.
1.7.12 Lexan windshield allowed must have center supports and be securely mounted.
1.7.13 Side windows and rear windows permitted but optional
1.7.14 Passenger side door window must be open for safety personnel; driver’s side window must also be open enough for driver removal if needed.
1.8 SUSPENSION
1.8.1 No travel limiting devices of any kind.
1.8.2 All suspension must be OEM/ Must be per manufacturer make and model.
1.8.3 No Quick-change rear ends permitted.
1.8.4 Reinforcing of strut towers allowed.
1.8.5 Springs optional: must be per manufacturer type (i.e., leaf, coil etc.) for make, model and year.
1.8.6 Weight jacks and adjustable sleeves allowed. Coil-over springs allowed.
1.8.7 Sway bars optional, one piece only.
1.8.8 Spindles and/or steering knuckles Himes are allowed or direct replacement.
1.8.9 Control arms: OEM replacement or aftermarket allowed. Must be mounted in stock location. Mounts may be slotted, adjustable and/or heavy duty
1.8.10 Steel shocks allowed. Struts may be steel body OEM or replacement. Like KYB, Monroe or QA1
Pan hard bar allowed. May be adjustable. Left and right side Wheelbase must be within plus or minus one inch, not to exceed 104”
1.9 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
1.9.1 Must have a working starter.
1.9.2 Crank trigger ignition allowed.
1.9.3 A master on/off switch must be accessible from the outside of the race car and must be clearly labeled.
1.9.4 Battery must be mounted securely in an approved battery box.
1.9.5 No timing may not be adjustable while on the racing surface.
1.9.6 No magnetos allowed.
1.9.7 Aftermarket distributors and MSD units allowed.
1.9.8 Only one ignition coil allowed unless OEM.
1.10 EXHAUST
1.10.1 Mufflers are mandatory
1.10.2 Any exhaust system mounted through car must protect the driver from heat and fumes in a clean, safe manner. Subject to tech approval.
1.10.3 Maximum noise level is 95 DBA at 100 feet.
1.10.4 Exhaust must extend behind driver and exit outside of car
1.11 TRANSMISSION
1.11.1 OEM standard for make, adapters allowed.
1.11.2 Must have working first and reverse gear
1.11.3 Scatter shield mandatory. 1⁄4” steel or approved blanket with 180-degree coverage.
1.11.4 Starter mounting position must remain in stock location.

1.12 FUEL TANK / CELL and FUEL
1.12.1 Pump Gasoline, E85 or 110 Sunoco allowed. No methanol or exotic fuels of any kind.
1.12.2 Electric fuel pumps allowed. If mounted in rear area, pump must be protected by a skid plate.
1.12.3 Oil pressure shut off override mandatory with electric fuel pump.
1.12.4 Fuel tank or fuel cell must be moved into trunk and be securely fastened in a safe manner as close to the firewall as possible, equal distance between frame rails. Tanks in front of the rear axle are permitted. All tanks must be approved by tech.
1.12.5 No aluminum fuel tanks, cells, or lines.
1.12.6 Maximum fuel capacity of 15 U.S. Gallons.
1.12.7 No connections allowed inside the driver’s area. Steel braided line highly recommended.
1.12.8 Fuel cell must have a ground wire.
1.12.9 When mounting a fuel cell or tank through trunk floor, an additional container of minimum 20- gauge steel must be used. 1” square tubing frame must be welded to the frame rails only and extend under the fuel cell container and not beyond the rear frame cross member. 8″ minimum ground clearance.
1.13 WHEELS / BRAKES
1.13.1 All cars must have four-wheel brakes in operating condition. Tilton style dual master cylinder with brake bias allowed. A maximum of one proportioning valve on each car.
1.13.2 Rotors may be aftermarket.
1.13.3 Tethered Hubs highly recommended
1.13.4 8″ Maximum wide steel wheel. Any other wheel must be approved by tech.
1.14 COOLING SYSTEM
1.14.1 Cars must carry an approved catch can or overflow tank; cannot be mounted in the driver’s compartment.
1.14.2 Catch can vent hose must attach to right corner of windshield.
1.14.3 No antifreeze or ethylene glycol coolants allowed.
1.15 INTAKE
Modification allowed, aftermarket allowed, adapters allowed
1.16 OILING SYSTEMS
1.16.1 No dry sump systems
1.16.2 Remote oil filters allowed
1.16.3 Oil Coolers allowed
SECTION 2 – MINIMUM SAFTEY SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 All drivers must have a one- or two-piece fire-resistant race suit, fire resistant race gloves, and fire-resistant race shoes
2.2 All drivers are required to use one-way radios (scanners / raceceivers) and must always receive race control broadcasts.
2.3 All drivers must use a Snell approved SA-2015 or newer full face race helmet.
2.4 It is strongly recommended that all drivers use a type of head and neck restraint system.
2.5 Tech approved racing seats required. NO homemade seats. A containment seat is highly recommended. Seats must be securely mounted – subject to tech approval.
2.6 Transponders must be mounted 11 inches behind the center line between; rear hubs (FWD); or rear Axle housing (RWD).
2.7 Seat Belts must be a 5-point system with a min. 3″ lap belt and a submarine strap. 2015 or newer.
2.8 Window Net must be the ribbon style NO Fish Net style 2015 or newer
2.9 It is mandatory for all cars to carry a fire extinguisher in the race car. It’s highly recommended a fire suppression system be installed.
2.10 All teams must have a minimum of 5lb fire extinguisher in their pit.
2.11 It is not our responsibility for the effectiveness of any personal safety equipment. Each competitor is solely responsible for the effectiveness of all personal safety equipment used. Each competitor is expected to investigate and educate himself/herself fully in respect to the availability and effectiveness of personal safety equipment.
2.12 All participants are required to adhere to the safety rules of hosting tracks.
