🐑❤️ 𝟳𝟲 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗞 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗦!

Sometimes the best moments at a livestock show don’t happen in the show ring.

Yesterday, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗧𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 brought us a very special handmade gift—a wooden cutting board featuring his own carving of a set of Hampshire ewes. We decided it needed to go home with someone from the sheep barn, so every adult present was entered into a random drawing.

And the lucky winner was Mrs. Amy Oliver! 🎉🐑

But the cutting board wasn’t the only thing that made this moment special. While visiting with Mr. Turner, he shared that he has been 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟳𝟲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀—first at the old Mid-South Fair and now at the Delta Fair.

𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗬-𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦. That is quite a livestock show tradition!

And that tradition continues. Mr. Turner raises registered Hampshire sheep that his grandchildren and Covington FFA members exhibit at shows throughout Tennessee.

We are thankful for people like Mr. Turner who have spent a lifetime supporting livestock shows, encouraging young exhibitors and passing agriculture from one generation to the next. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁. ❤️🐑

And congratulations to Mrs. Oliver—we think you won a pretty special piece of Delta Fair history!
