Been having a lot of fun this month… my customers never disappoint with beautiful quilts…
The bird quilt, is a shadow box quilt pattern. Customer had a beautiful piece of fleece. They want to put on the back..
I did line with a piece of flannel in place of batting.
This was custom quilting, and I had so much fun…
After I drop this one off, customer rewarded me with another quilt top just as pretty with different birds… so I’ll be featuring that one also.

So I had a customer bring me this gorgeous ( around the 50’s) quilt top that was picked up at an estate sale.
I took a little longer than predicted to get quilted, as this quilt has been put together completely by hand. With quilting a hand quilt you must be very careful, required patients, and not being in a hurry whatsoever..
The quilt only had a top and bottom border,, so it took over a week with a fantastic person to find the perfect purple to match.. for the side borders, ….lol… ( Kona lilac )
I finished putting on the binding this morning, going with the light and dark purple flower print… I was trying to stay in the quilt era… wishing I had a yard of feed sack fabric..

OK, I’m gonna have to brag y’all,, my sweet niece who is a young mother, made her first quilt.  She has a set of twins that share a king size bed., this is 95 square. She is just learning to sew..
And she only had one lesson , on quilting.
I’m extremely proud of her… many young people do not want to even attempt such a hobby anymore.

I love all the fall colors. This is just gorgeous. And I had a blast quilting it.. customer asked that I highlight the cream blocks and other than that she didn’t care what I did… I find that a huge compliment when somebody trust my quilting…

Hello my lovely quilters… I thought I’d showcase two quilts. I did this month. I love the scrappy quilt. She is absolutely so colorful.
And the second one is the princess quilt for a little princess. Grandma made this quilt with a lot of love. And I cannot tell you how much fun I had quilting her.. there is seven color change of thread.
I hope all your lovely quilters are enjoying the spring weather, and all the new beginnings that come with spring.
