Free2Read Book Project is an amazing local non profit that we are so glad to have at Pride!! All year, every year, Megan and volunteers are collecting books to give away at events for completely free. They often focus on or highlight books that have been banned or challenged in the past, but are meant to make every kid feel seen and like they belong.

We want to give a huge shout out to Simple Simon's food truck in Mason City!! The owner Deb has been so extremely helpful and kind to our community, while serving up great food as well! Make sure to follow them on Facebook and support when you see them around town. And make sure to stop by and see them at your festival on July 19th!!

Mason City Pride has been around for 2 years in Central Park and several years before that in East Park. We have seen so much revenue come in for the city and local businesses, so many people coming from far and wide to celebrate, so many people feeling like they finally have a home in North Iowa, and so many of our residents feeling the love and magic of Pride, often for the first time.

If you have felt impacted positively by Pride the way I have, I would absolutely love if you could nominate us for best event/festival before June 19. We have never received community recognition in such a way and I think it would be an amazing step for our community. Thank you so much in advance!!
