Our Story

Five Card Hold Out is an exciting new 5 card poker game designed by Omega Gaming USA, exclusively for professional poker rooms.

To create an exciting new, modern day version of 5 Card Draw poker, currently absent in professional poker rooms today, that draws the untapped demographic of traditional party poker players and fans to professional poker rooms. The game must have traditional 5 Card Draw poker characteristics, familiar to everyone, and must challenge players to strategize while utilizing their competitive skills to achieve the perfect winning hand. The game must meet all current professional poker room and gambling commission industry standards.

GAME PLAY OVERVIEW:

Small and big blinds are placed.

Five cards are dealt face down to each player, followed by a round of betting (Pre-Flop).

Players may discard up to four cards.

Remaining cards must be played.

Four community cards (Flop- 2 cards, Turn - 1 card, and the River - 1 card) are dealt face up on the board in three betting rounds.

If two or more players remain in the game, there is a showdown.

1. Breathe new life into professional poker and card rooms everywhere.

2. Attract the untapped demographic of party poker players and poker fans alike who love to play traditional 5 card poker, to professional poker rooms.

5. Capture the interest of Hold’em and Omaha players looking for something new to play.

6. Produce new tournament champions and challenge professional poker players to master new competitive skills.

7. Offer potential high hands, rarely seen in a poker rooms today, keeping more players in the game and producing bigger pots. ALL but 4 cards are in play at the showdown.

8. Challenge players to strategize and gives each player a choice vs a predicted hand.

Five Card Hold Out debuted in 2017 in weekly tournaments for 6 months, at a 4 Diamond Resort Hotel Casino in Washington State. Test results were flawless and feedback from players, dealers, and management was exceptional.

Five Card Hold Out is certified by the WA State Gambling Commission for professional poker and card room play.

Five Card Hold Out is now approved for play in California by the California Gambling Control Commission.

Five Card Hold Out meets all professional poker room standards and gambling commission requirements.
