Sometimes doing the right thing means taking a step back instead of forcing something forward.
After a lot of difficult conversations and careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to postpone HPW: Backpacks & Bodyslams.
This wasn’t an easy choice. We’ve poured months of work, planning, heart, and hope into this event. So many incredible vendors, sponsors, talent, supporters, and community members believed in what we were building, and we cannot thank you enough for that support.
But at the end of the day, HPW was built on a very specific foundation:
Family. Community. Integrity. Purpose.
And rather than rush into something that felt compromised, disconnected, or misaligned with those values, we chose to pause, regroup, and come back the right way.
Because this was always meant to be bigger than one wrestling show.
Truthfully? This picture says more than we ever could.
At the end of the day, this is what HPW is really about. Neighbors. Families. Kids making memories. A wrestling ring in the yard that somehow turned into a community movement bigger than we ever imagined.
We know some people may count us out right now. That’s fine. Let them.
HPW isn’t built on hype.
It’s built on heart.
And heart doesn’t disappear because of one setback.
We’ll take this time to reset, realign, and make sure that when HPW returns, it returns stronger, smarter, and surrounded by people who truly believe in the same mission we do.
This is not goodbye.
This is not the end.
And HPW isn’t going anywhere.
We’ll see y’all again soon.
