Manchester Chicken Broil The world-famous 72nd annual Manchester Chicken Broil on SATURDAY, July 19 2025. Approximately 250 men work on these committees.

The Manchester Chicken Broil is organized and run entirely by volunteers from the Manchester community area, traditionally primarily men, some of whom have served for 71 years continuously! The various committees and volunteers consist of such specialties as: Firemen, Chicken on Grids, Chicken to Pits, Charcoal Pits, Chicken Testers, Chicken to Serving Table, Cole Slaw and Take Out. The processes

are efficient and carefully timed to ensure a smooth flow of 10,000 dinners in four hours (about one meal every second!).

Klager had the honor of welcoming the Manchester Chicken Broil Chairs and community members, Gary Bross, Jeff Mann, and Jacob Mann! We are thrilled to announce that our school has been chosen as a beneficiary of the 72nd Annual Chicken Broil!

The donation from the Manchester Chicken Broil will help fund our Klager Greenhouse Project, further growing our STEAM and experiential learning initiatives and promoting our agricultural studies!

Since its inception in 1954, the Chicken Broil has contributed over $1.4 million back into our community, and we are so grateful to be a part of this incredible legacy!

A special shoutout to our Librarian and Innovative Lab teacher, Ellen Supers for leading our STEAM initiatives and the Machester Chicken Broil for all their support!

And just like that the 72nd Chicken Broil is in the books! The big chicken will be returning home shortly. The field almost looks like nothing ever happened. We would like to thank the Manchester Boy Scouts and the Manchester Wresting Team for their great work with the setup and cleanup. It's a long hard job and they did great! We would also like to thank all those that worked to deliver a great meal to all our guests. Lastly we would like to thank everyone that came out and enjoyed their dinner even with the less than ideal weather conditions. Your support will help us continue to give back to the community. Well done everyone!
