Once all of the bricks have been sold, the next phase of the project can begin. Please consider supporting this project if you haven’t done so yet. If you are looking for a memorable or special holiday gift, this would be a great option! More info can be found at:

The Maddock 125th quasi-centennial was celebrated July 30th – August 2nd, 2026.  As part of our festivities, we invited friends, family, and neighbors to create a permanent link to our future by purchasing a brick engraved with a message that could be personally designed.

Hi all. We are in the final stages of finishing off the Mural Park, and the final push for bricks for the entrance to the Mural Park. With that, there a limited amount of bricks that are for sale due to the design of the entry walls. According to our numbers, there will only be 36 8x8 bricks and 72 4x8 bricks available for purchase. As of today, there have been 21 8x8 bricks and 24 4x8 bricks sold. If my Maddock math is correct, that means there are only 15 8x8's and 48 4x8 bricks left before we shut down the BricksRUs site. Please consider purchasing a brick or two if you haven't yet done so. This will be the last opportunity to do so. Please reach out with any questions. I will try to update our numbers over the next week or two in order to keep you aware of how close we are to hitting the goals. Thank you.

Arlen Nelson of Glendale, AZ was the gracious winner from the quilt raffle.

Here’s a note from Arlen.

The beautiful quilt arrived today. Thank you for sending it. My wife would have loved it. She was a dedicated quilter. We had 9 children together. I think each picked several of her creations after her passing. Sandra commented to a baby quilt to all the new family babies and to her friend's babies. She too belonged to a sewing club: sewing for babies. They donated baby quilts to the local hospitals. Not sure on number but she did wear out a sewing machine. Her favorite was a singer 221 from her mother's youth. We would oil it every couple weeks. No bearings in those old machines. It sits in her sewing room with all her fabric, rulers, thread, batting... We sit in there when we need to feel her spirit.
Good luck with your club and wonderful projects. It's becoming a neglected skill. I have 8 girls but none followed Sandra's hobby
