Our commitment at http://www.ejbuckpiano.com/ is to bring the highest quality of the musical arts to the community. From the 1856 8'6" London Erard to the 1877 Steinway Centennial, to Steingraeber, these are the preeminent instruments of the day and today. It had been a long year, 2015. Many changes that left me unable to set up concerts or even post here. My sincerest apologies to everyone.

I have an opportunity to host a couple of concerts. They will work well with our current circumstances. Please stay tuned as I will post some of the details.

Body Mapping
Body Mapping is a somatic (mind-body) discipline based upon the scientific fact that the brain contains neural maps of bodily functions and structures that govern our body usage. When our physical self-representation is adequate and accurate, then our movement is effective and safe. Body Mapping achieves freedom of movement though accuracy of the body map, one’s physical self-representation in the brain. Musicians who embrace the principles of Body Mapping enjoy freedom of movement that enhances their ability for musical expression, and avoid placing themselves at risk of injury. Quality of movement is critical for musicians because movement underlies all forms of musical communication and expression.

In 1916 here in the US it is mentioned in a book that we manufactured 350,000 pianos and had the capacity to raise that to 400,000.

Today, with only three manufacturers here, we make less than 2,000.

Pianos are far more expensive than other forms of entertainment and require time to learn and practice. Ipad, $300.00 and 10 minutes to learn.

How is it possible to compete?

As musicians we know the value of playing an instrument. We know the richness it brings to our lives.

How do we do a better job of communicating that to our young generation?

Shouldn't we have a National Day of Music?

Noah and his special guests played a wonderful concert Sat afternoon with the unexpected addition of thunder, lightning and a tornado alert!

We are excited to have Noah Landis here next Saturday Sept 6th at 4pm!! Please consider attending. Nice Intimate room with a Steingraeber D-232 and 9' Steinway Concert Grand. A real treat for the ears.

Grand finale Noah will perform a two piano Liszt Concerto for two pianos with his teacher Concert Pianist Paul Dykstra !!
