Francesca's road to the Grand to Grand I created this page to show that anyone can do what they set their hearts to. It has every type of condition you could imagine!

I am going to do the Grand to Grand Ultra Marathon in 2 years (or sooner) it is a Ultra Marathon in the Grand Canyon that has 6 stages over the course of 7 days and totals 170 miles!! it is a Self Supporting run that begins at the Rim of the Grand Canyon and ends at the Grand Stairs. from Sand to Rocks to Rails... Rain, extreme heat, and Scaling Cliffs. I will be training for this event from now t

ill 2 years from now when I believe I will totally meet the requirements. My requirements are that I compete in several Marathons and Ultra Marathons (54 milers), Volunteer, Choose and Support a Non Profit and become a member in the community of running before putting in my application for the Grand to Grand to show my commitment to the sport as well as prove I deserve and earned the right to be there. I will be uploading a lot of my runs, motivational music and videos that inspire me, things I have learned on the journey and motivational and funny memes because fun and adventure is what it is all about. I wanna inspire women, motivate those who need it, and give helpful tips and information to those who would like to run more or get in shape and don't know where to start and just want to know what others are doing. Please support my journey if not for motivation for yourself, support it for motivation for me to keep going and pushing myself forward on my road to the Grand to Grand Ultra

Reopening this page.... when I finally got the courage to go after this in 2017 I ended up that year in the hospital from a mild stroke from stress. Was worked into the ground! And it almost cost me my life! Hard to call it mild when I still have issues from it but I know it could have been WAY worse! so I am grateful that I was told what my symptoms were and went straight to the hospital. So I don't complain about the issues I have from it because I know how fortunate I am and tho felt I had lost everything, and I guess if you look at it from a worldly perspective I definitely did, But I am still here stronger for it. Over the past 3 years I have run here and there cuz I just love to run and this streets be calling me but I felt like I missed my window and constantly worried about my health. Been in a box with no windows or doors waiting for something or someone to pull me out of it till I found myself alone. I have accepted I have to start over from scratch, a clean slate and now I am back running for me, for freedom, for passion, and no longer caring if I will reach my goal in a two year time just running now to reach it cuz you never know what tomorrow will bring and, as we learned this year, if tomorrow will ever come. ♥️ this is how I spent my Christmas yesterday, no friends no family just me, my camel pack, my lucky weight gloves (don't judge) and the road. Did my one of my favorite runs to Kenneth Hahn when you get to the top the City View Trial
