NewFilmmakers New York screens every Wednesday (sometimes Tuesday) at the Anthology Film Archives, one of the leading theaters in New York City and the only theater truly dedicated to independent, underground and experimental film. Every week (resources permitting) we shoot Filmmaker Profiles. Any filmmaker who has shown with us or is scheduled to show with us is welcome to participate. Basically you get your own featurette where you talk about your film, why you made it, the struggle you went through to make it or why it was important for you to make. We program on a quarterly basis so our notification dates are approximate ONLY.
