First patrol shift of the season! 🍂 Fall foliage rides under a bit of rain today, but the team kept the rest of our mountain preparations going - clearing glades, hanging ropes, building out the new deck for our top shack, and more. Grateful for the warmth and support of our teammates from Ops and the Black Line Tavern at Magic too. Still time to join us the next two weekends!

Our signature red chair isn’t the only red we’re seeing on the mountain! 🍁❤️

The fall colors are getting ready to put on a show, and we’re excited to enjoy every minute of it!

The Magic Mountain Ski Patrol family is getting excited for the upcoming season and looking forward to seeing everyone back on the mountain soon.

🎉 Magic Mountain Ski Patrol would like to congratulate one of our own! 🎉

Congratulations, Jeff, on winning First Prize for your Gilfeather Turnip at the Bondville Fair! 🏆🥬

For those who may not be familiar with the Gilfeather Turnip, it’s a true Vermont heirloom—with a sweet, mild flavor and a whole lot of local pride. Apparently, Jeff knows a thing or two about growing them, because his turnip took the top prize! 🥬🏆

Just a reminder that our patrollers have many talents, interests, and accomplishments outside of their time at the mountain. We’re proud to have such a talented group!

Way to go, Jeff! Keep up the great work.

Magic Mountain Ski Patrol and Bromley Ski Patrol are teaming up to train the newest OEC ski patrol candidate class for the 2026–27 season!

We held our first in-person session yesterday, and it was fantastic. Several Magic and Bromley instructors answered the call and did an outstanding job teaching and working with the candidates throughout the day.

Teaching an OEC candidate class takes time, commitment, and passion. It’s about passing along the knowledge, skills, and fundamentals that make our patrols strong—and ensuring the next generation is ready to carry that tradition forward.

Both mountains are incredibly grateful for our dedicated Ski Patrol OEC instructors and all the time and energy they give to our candidates.

And by the way… our new candidates are awesome. We’re excited to see what this class accomplishes! 🎿❄️🚑

What a day! Work at Summit Patrol went all day and A LOT was accomplished. Tremendous effort by all of the patrollers who donated their time, effort, and expertise! Projects included new flooring, staining the exterior, staining the benches, trash removal, measuring for a new deck, and movement of the sled shed! Special thanks to Andrew! Patrol could not have moved the sled shed without you and your heavy machinery.
