I love the idea behind this carousel because it shows that our fabrics don’t have to be saved for a “special occasion.” They can simply be part of how we dress and how we live.

Ntama means fabric in Akan, and there are so many ways to make it your own. Wear it to work. Dress it down for the weekend. Throw on a beautiful kimono for dinner. Mix it with pieces already in your closet.

There really isn’t one “right” way to wear it. For me, that’s part of the beauty of keeping tradition alive. We don’t have to leave it in the past. We carry it forward, we make it our own, and we wear it in ways that fit the lives we live today.

You’ve seen the beads. Now meet Abdul Rahman, the artisan partner in Ghana whose hands are behind all of ASM’s waist bead strands.

Each strand represents more than beautiful color. It carries skill, patience, tradition, and craftsmanship; made by a real person whose work deserves to be seen, valued, and named.

Which basket would you bring home?

Every basket has a story—and every weave carries the hands, skill, and tradition of the women who made it.

Our Bolga baskets are handwoven by the women of Ayebase Ent. , Bolgatanga, Ghana, using techniques passed down through generations.

When you choose one of our baskets you’re supporting the women behind the craft, their livelihoods, and the continuation of a tradition.
