Sunday Market at Dushi Tera Homestead ☕🌱

Join us this Sunday for a relaxing morning surrounded by nature, community, and simple homestead living.

Browse a selection of plants (as available), garden seeds, and small-batch herbal products while enjoying a complimentary cup of coffee or tea.

This week's market will be hosted by our young entrepreneurs, Isabelle & Jean-Michael, who will be showcasing their products and gaining real-world experience in running a small business.

We hope you'll stop by to encourage them as they continue learning, creating, and growing.

Let's Grow Together Challenge 🌱

One seed. One container. One step closer to growing your own food.

This weekend, instead of throwing away the seeds from fruits and vegetables you already eat, let's give them a second life.

Use anything you already have: ♻️
• Plastic containers
• Yogurt cups
• Milk jugs
• Coffee cans
• Buckets
• Pots

Add some soil, plant your seeds, water them, and place them somewhere they'll receive plenty of sunlight.

Great Seeds to Start With:

🥒 Cucumber
🍅 Tomato
🌶️ Bell peppers or hot peppers
🎃 Pumpkin
🥒 Squash
🍈 Melons (cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew)
🍋 Citrus (lemon, lime, orange)
🥑 Avocado (for fun, even though it takes years to fruit)
🌻 Sunflower (especially if you have birds or simply love flowers)

You can also regrow some foods from kitchen scraps:

🧅 Green onions
🥬 Lettuce
🌿 Celery
🧄 Garlic
🥔 Sweet potatoes
🥔 Potatoes (with eyes)
🍍 Pineapple tops

The Weekend Challenge
▪︎ Save seeds from something you already ate.
▪︎ Plant at least one type of seed.
▪︎ Reuse a container instead of buying a pot.
▪︎ Take a photo of your planting.
▪︎ Share it and encourage someone else to join.

REMEMBER:
Every garden starts with a single seed. You don't need a big yard or expensive supplies, just a willingness to begin.
