Madelene has an extensive background working with "Special Needs" populations. She has worked with Very Special Arts throughout the years.
Capelle can provide special learners with weekly adaptive piano and voice lessons through the use of specialized curriculum and behavior management using ABA (applied behavior analysis). Music can help individuals with special needs improve skills, communication, self-reliance, self-expression and self-determination, and social skills.
After meeting the potential student and assessing the strengths and needs, I develop a teaching plan with goals and
objectives. I find music experiences that resonate with the student, making personal connections and building trust.

School has begun and fall schedule is now in place. So many talented piano and voice students.

Beginners to professionals.
Also, special programs for students young and old with "Special Needs". I work with Autistic, ADD, ADHD, developing a program to fit their specific needs.

In the US there some 4 million children with a disability, many interested in learning to play the piano or sing, also looking for a qualified instructor that will teach them. I am a trained Music Therapist, piano/voice instructor and have combined MT applications with music theory, and designed programs for "Special Needs" children and adults.. There are such great rewards teaching this special and still untapped population of students. Please let individuals know that I am here, ready with great ways of learning. I have numerous children and even a few adults in the studio doing amazing things. Come share the joy of music.
